Y’shua is YAH By Bishop Dominiquae Bierman PhD I have written this article in order to put to rest the confusion among our Jewish people who come to Messiah concerning the Divinity of Y’shua. Before I proceed to give supporting scriptures to my thesis; I would like to establish a foundation for it:
The Son that is Born “But there shall be no gloom to her who was in anguish. In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali; but in the latter time has he made it glorious, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light: those who lived in the land of the shadow of death, on them has the light shined. You have multiplied the nation, you have increased their joy: they joy before you according to the joy in harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. For the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as in the day of Midian. For all the armor of the armed man in the tumult, and the garments rolled in blood, shall be for burning, for fuel of fire. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9; 1-7 This beautiful prophecy by the prophet Isaiah foretold the coming of Messiah and his ministry in the Galilee of the Gentiles that will see a “Great Light”. (John 1:7) This Great Light will cause a:
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9; 6, 7 This Great Light that multiplies the nations and destroys the yoke and the burden of the oppressor, is born as a child in a very special way.
Isaiah in this passage is very clear about the Messiah being Divine as He is depicted as a child that is born (human nature) and as an El Gibor (Mighty God) and Avi Ad (Everlasting Father) which is obviously Divine. This would be accomplished by none other than Yahweh of the Armies. In other words the birth of this Divine Child is a Military Act from Heaven or an Act of War. Later on we read in the Brit Chadashah, “Having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he has taken it out that way, nailing it to the cross; having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:14, 15 We can see that this Military Act of Heaven was performed through the death of Y’shua on the execution stake (the cross) in order to take upon Himself the punishment that belonged to us. In that sense He ‘stripped the (demonic) principalities and the powers’ that held us captive to sin, iniquity, disease, poverty, fear, etc… Later on He would share with all of His followers His Divine Authority and Power, “Y’shua came to them and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:18, 19 (This writer believes that the original manuscript would have said “baptizing them in My name”, since only Y’shua died, not the Father or the Holy Spirit and the Spirit does not have a “name”, also this is the only Scripture that supports baptism in the name of the Tri-Unity as all the other ones in the Book of Acts are into the name of Y’shua only - but this would be for another article) And in Mark 16:16 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages; they will take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. They went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.” Mark 16:16-20 The Birth of Messiah Reveals His Divinity“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14 This particular child will have no earthly father, since a virgin (Alma in Hebrew is a young woman that has not known a man sexually thus is not married). The Archangel Gabriel spoke that to Miriam, Y’shua’s mother: “But when she saw him, she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered what kind of salutation this might be. The angel said to her, "Don`t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and will call his name Y’shua... We learn here that,
Through these scriptures we can clearly understand that the Son that would be conceived in Miriam’s womb is no regular human,
This is an undeniable proof that Y’shua is of no regular human but rather of Divine origin, though He would walk as a Man, He is still no regular man. See this occurrence (God manifesting as a Man) when Jacob fought a man all night and this man was Elohim (God) Himself! “Jacob was left alone, and wrestled with a man there until the breaking of the day. When he saw that he didn`t prevail against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob`s thigh was strained, as he wrestled. The man said, "Let me go, for the day breaks." Jacob said, "I won`t let you go, unless you bless me." He said to him, "What is your name?" He said, "Jacob." He said, "Your name will no longer be called `Jacob` but `Israel` for you have fought with God and with men, and have prevailed." Jacob asked him, "Please tell me your name." He said, "Why is it that you ask what my name is?" He blessed him there. Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for, he said, "I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." Genesis 32:24-30 The Blood TestScience is now able to determine the fatherhood of someone according to a simple blood test on the child. If the child carries the blood of that certain man, he then can claim fatherhood over the child. In ancient days, they knew that the heritage of a child would run through the blood line of the father, so in every Biblical recount we will have some ‘begets’, “Adam lived one hundred thirty years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he became the father of sons and daughters. All the days that Adam lived were nine hundred thirty years, then he died. Seth lived one hundred five years, and became the father of Enosh. Seth lived after he became the father of Enosh eight hundred seven years, and became the father of sons and daughters. All the days of Seth were nine hundred twelve years, then he died. Enosh lived ninety years, and became the father of Kenan. Enosh lived after he became the father of Kenan, eight hundred fifteen years, and became the father of sons and daughters. All the days of Enosh were nine hundred five years, then he died.” Genesis 5:3-10 In every situation the lineage goes through the father and so it is with Y’shua! His blood came from the Father in Heaven, since He had no earthly father, this His blood (where life is Levit. 17:11) is the Father’s Blood or Life. Thus fulfilling His promise to Israel that He will give His own Blood/Life on the altar in order to atone for our sins, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life.” Leviticus 17:11 When Y’shua poured out His Royal Blood for us on the Roman Cross, it was the Father’s Blood/Life through His only begotten (not created) Son that was spilt for us. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16 God gave us of His own Blood, His ONE and ONLY Son, in other words there is no one else that could have done it for no one else carried the Blood of the Father in Heaven. Y’shua accepted human worship“"I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. "You shall not make an engraved image for yourself, [nor] any likeness [of anything] that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them; for I, Yahweh, your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me;” Deuteronomy 5:6-9 It is very well known in Judaism and in Biblical principles that we are forbidden to worship anyone but YAH Himself. However Y’shua received worship from others and never rebuked them or stopped them. “Now when Y’shua was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod, the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying,"Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him." When Herod the king heard it, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. Gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he asked them where the Christ would be born. They said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written through the prophet,`You Bethlehem, land of Judah, Are in no way least among the princes of Judah: For out of you shall come forth a governor, Who shall shepherd my people, Israel`". We do not see Miriam stopping these three kings from worshipping her Son. “When it happened that Peter entered, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. But Peter raised him up, saying "Stand up! I myself am also a man." Acts 10:25.26 Peter stops Cornelius from worshipping him, since he was a man. Cornelius was also a Gentile just like the three Eastern Kings were. Why did Mary let them worship her Baby if He is not God? “Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky, and came and rolled away the stone from the door, and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. For fear of him, the guards shook, and became like dead men. The angel answered the women, "Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Y’shua, who has been crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying. Go quickly and tell his disciples, `He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him’. Behold, I have told you." They departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word. As they went to tell his disciples, behold, Y’shua met them, saying, "Rejoice!" They came and took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.” Matthew 28:1-9 In the above verses we can see that He accepted worship from all of His disciples after His resurrection and He did not rebuked them but rather received worship gladly. “After eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being locked, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace be to you." Then he said to Thomas, "Reach here your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into my side. Don`t be faithless, but believing." Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed." John 20:26-29 Thomas called Y’shua; my Lord-Adonai and my God-Elohai and Y’shua did not rebuke him or correct him. He accepted the title gladly. The Word Made Flesh“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him. Without him was not anything made that has been made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men…The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:1-14 The fact that Y’shua is the Word made flesh and that the Word is God, is fully supported in Genesis 1 - the first chapter of The Holy Scriptures, which also gives us a very clear understanding of the way that the Tri-Unity (not Trinity!) of YAH operates, “In the beginning God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God`s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters. God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.” Genesis 1:1-3 Here we see that the name for the creator is not EL (singular for God) but Elohim (plural form), this is very important as it reveals Elohim as ECHAD (Oneness in plurality) rather than YACHID (One and only)
Elohim the Father All three needed to be present for Creation to take place, in the same way ALL THREE need to be present as ONE for Redemption and New Creation to take place! This happened when the Archangel announced the Good News to Miriam “But when she saw him, she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered what kind of salutation this might be. The angel said to her, "Don`t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and will call his name Y’shua... Here we also find all the Tri-Unity of Elohim acting together
The Word is the seed, the Ruach or Spirit is the conductor for the Power (a very manly term) of the Most High to be able to ‘deposit this Holy Seed in Miriam’s undefiled womb’ What an Awesome Act and what an amazing Mystery! Y’shua is worshipped as God“I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written within and on the back, sealed shut with seven seals. I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the book, and to break its seals?" No one in heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look in it. And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look in it. One of the elders said to me, "Don`t weep. Behold, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome to open the book and its seven seals." I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth” Revelation 5:1-6 First let us notice in this Heavenly scene that the Lamb (Y’shua) that was slain has seven horns (sign of complete authority and ruler ship) and seven eyes which are the seven spirits of God. In other words this Lamb has all the fullness of the authority, power, revelation and all the spirits (Life and Power) of the Creator! “I saw, and I heard a voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who has been killed to receive the power, riches, wisdom, might, honor, glory, and blessing!" I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever. Amen." The four living creatures said, "Amen!" The elders fell down and worshipped” Revelation 5:11-14 Both the One that sits on the throne and the Lamb, are worshipped in the same manner! Both the Father and the Son receive the same honor and glory; such as can be bestowed on Elohim-YAH-God alone! “After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. They cried with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, saying, "Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen." Revelation 7:9-12 Here we can see all the angels falling on their faces to worship God, both the One that sits on the Throne and the Lamb are mentioned here, and all the worship session revolves around the two. The Importance of Knowing that Messiah Y’shua is YAH Disbelieving that Y’shua is YAH is a very dangerous and serious matter as it completely disqualifies His Blood Atonement and Sacrifice. No one could have redeemed us but the Almighty Himself by His own Blood and by giving His own Life on the altar. Thus it is a Perfect Sacrifice and unmatched by any other in Scripture or history! When we know Y’shua as God, then we can truly repent from our wicked ways of unbelief and iniquity as we are overwhelmed by the awesome Humility and Compassion of our Creator who was willing to die (through His Divine Son) that we might live. When we know such awesome Love, then we can go ahead and love others like He did! “Don`t be afraid, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help you, says Yahweh, and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel” Isaiah 41:14 “Thus says Yahweh, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb: I am Yahweh, who makes all things; who stretches forth the heavens alone; who spreads abroad the earth (who is with me?); who frustrates the signs of the liars, and makes diviners mad; who turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolish” Isaiah 44:24, 25 “Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, It is truth. You are my witnesses, says Yahweh, and my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am Yahweh; and besides me there is no savior. I have declared, and I have saved, and I have showed; and there was no strange [god] among you: therefore you are my witnesses, says Yahweh, and I am God” Isaiah 43:9-12 Y’shua is YAH-SHUA or YAH OUR SAVIOUR and besides Him there is no other! SUMMARY“The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant.” Psalm 25:14 In this short thesis I have proven that,
