As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons.” Isaiah 66:8 Shabbat shalom dearly beloved: This Fifth Day of the week (Thursday the 8th of May) we will be celebrating a 60 year old miracle of rebirth. Against all odds Israel was established as a reborn state in ONE day: the 14th of May 1948. The voting in the United Nations was so tight that it seemed tied until ONE vote tipped it over towards establishing the Modern State of Israel in the confines of the then called “Palestine”. This one vote that made the difference was theFilipino vote, and forever we will thank YHVH for that precious vote and for the Philippines! It makes me think how important is ONE vote, ONE person, ONE nation? So many times we think that in order to succeed we need a majority to stand with us, but the Bible and Israel’s history is filled with testimonies of the importance of ONE. During the Shoa, (Holocaust,) it was only ONE Corrie Ten Boom and ONE Oscar Schindler. Unfortunately, the enemy also knows the Power of One and uses it constantly. So it was also ONE Hitler that caused all that devastation then, and ONE Nasharalla from the Hizbullah and ONE President Ahmadinajad from Iran that is a threat today to the very existence of Israel. It was the same over 2500 years ago in Persia, (Iran of today,) that ONE Haman sought to annihilate all the Jews, and YHVH answered with the Power of ONE Mordechai and ONE Queen Esther. It was ONE Pharao in Ancient Egypt that sought to annihilate all the Jewish boys, and it was ONE Moses that answered Yah’s Call to deliver His children from the bitter bondage of Egypt. Of course it was only ONE Y’shua that stretched his bruised arms on the execution Tree, (Cross,) and giving up his spirit said “IT IS FINISHED” and redeemed all of mankind starting with the Jew First! In Science it took only ONE Einstein to change the world and ONE Freud to change humanity through psychology, (for good or bad). ONE man managed to establish the State of Israel. That ONE man was our First Prime Minister: David Ben Gurion. A peculiar man of very short stature, (not even 5 feet, less than 1.50 meters) that fought and obtained a country. This ONE man that carried the responsibility of ending the 2000 year exile for the Jewish People; ONE man through whom the long term promises of Return and Restoration for Israel was fulfilled. It also took ONE man to bring the Jews from Chile to make Aliyah, (Immigrate and come UP to Zion). That ONE man was my beloved father Professor Hiram Albala. He prepared us for years for the Great Move and on the 22 of November 1970 we landed by boat on the shores of the Haifa Port together with an entire group of “Olim”, (Jewish Immigrants) from Chile. I cannot express the joy, excitement and deep passion that I felt upon arrival. We had been at sea for one entire month from Santiago, Chile to Napoli, Italy on one boat called the “Rossini”, and from Napoli to Tel Aviv on another ship called the “Dan”. I led the children and the youth on board in the songs of Zion as we were approaching the Land. At last our 2000 year old dream was going to be personally fulfilled! Since the establishing of the State of Israel we have had an Aliyah (immigration) of over 3.000.000 (three million!) Jews! This is a country of immigrants, of contrasts, of colors, a country of miracles! Today Israel is such a modern country and so hi-tech that it competes with any other in that area. When I walk the streets of Israel and I travel the Land with my Ministry tour groups, I always remember that every road, every house and every tree is a miracle! So is every Jew that lives here! Just prior to the establishing of the State of Israel in 1948, the enemy tried to annihilate us as a people through Nazi Germany. There was not supposed to be any Jews left in order to settle the Land of Promise! But here we are waxing 7 million strong and receiving more and more Olim monthly! Is this ever going to stop? NO! YHVH promised that He will bring us again to the Land and no one will remove us. "I will also plant them on their land, and they will not again be rooted out from their land which I have given them,” Says the LORD your God.” Amos 9:15 He also explained that we will come back to it in a pagan state and in much sin "For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land.”Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.” Ezekiel 36:24-25 He also said that all the nations will oppose us and fight us "It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.” Zechariah 12:3 He also said that there will be a REVIVAL here and that He will give us a new heart and a new spirit. "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.” Ezekiel 36:26-27 He also promised to never keep silent and to never stop until He accomplishes His job to restore us! He also commanded all those that have an ear and love Him to join Him in performing His job of restoring Israel. “For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not keep quiet, until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, and her salvation like a torch that is burning…….. On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent You who remind the LORD, take no rest for yourselves; And give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” Isaiah 62:1,6-7 He also promised to bless those that will cooperate with him in restoring Israel “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you.” Psalms 122:6 “And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." Genesis 12:3 He also promised to judge those that are passive concerning Israel’s sufferings "Because of violence to your brother Jacob, You will be covered withshame, and you will be cut off forever. "On the day that you stood aloof, on the day that strangers carried off his wealth, and foreigners entered his gate and cast lots for Jerusalem-- You too were as one of them.” Obadiah 10,11 He also promised to judge those that oppose the restoration of Israel "For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land.” Joel 3:1-2 He is calling all of those that love Him to JOIN Him in this Miracle Restoration Job. Just like the Jewish People are called to make Alyah, (Ascend to Zion=Immigrate,) so the Believers in Messiah are called to make Spiritual Alyah in order to support and cooperate with this awesome restoration! “The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. Now it will come about that in the last days the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established as the chief of the mountains, and will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it.” Isaiah 2:1-2 And more so today when the whole world seems to be turning its back against the Jewish State, YHVH is again looking for that ONE that will be faithful to Him and to Israel. The Word commands us not to “despise small things”. If you feel small compared to the magnitude of this Mission, remember the Power of ONE! "For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” 2 Chronicles 16:9A When each ONE of you comes to the Land, (makes Spiritual Alyah), prays for Israel, supports our ministry and other ministries in the Land, you are impacting Israel and history for all eternity! Each ONE that loves and blesses Israel, each ONE that obeys God in this is a History Maker! Some people have called this “Israel Tourism”. More than 400 new immigrants from 23 countries will be arriving in Israel on Monday for what has been declared International Aliyah Day 2008. Aliyah means immigration of Jews to the Land of Isael.
The new immigrants will hail from almost two dozen countries including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Honduras, Hungary, Italy, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine and the United States. They are planning to settle in more than 50 communities throughout the Land of Israel. A reception honoring the new immigrants will take place at Ben Gurion Airport’s Terminal One at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 5. Many believe however that it was the Brazilian vote and others that the vote from Haiti came in and broke the tie before the Filipino. After the first voting that was tie happened, a second voting happened and after much stress 33 countries agreed, 13 opposed and 10 abstained. The Philippines was the only country in Asia that finally after much negotiation and pressure voted in agreement. The Brazilian delegate lobbied for Israel and he has been honored with a street in Tel Aviv. As the head of the Brazilian delegation to the U.N., Aranha supported and heavily lobbied for the partition of Palestine toward the creation of the State of Israel; in 2007, a street in Tel Aviv was named in his honor at a ceremony attended by his relatives and Brazil's ambassador to Israel.
