Shabbat shalom and happy Pessach to all!

From Saturday night and for seven consecutive days we will be celebrating the Holy Feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread. We remember that around 4000 years ago our People that were slaves in Egypt became FREE through YHVH's interventions. We also celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of our Messiah Y’shua, who was crucified on Passover, was buried and rose from the dead on the Feast of First Fruits during the Passover-Unleavened Bread week. Indeed Pessach is a remarkable festival and more so today as we eagerly wait for God to do it again and to rescue Israel again from slavery and from death threats.

Right prior to their deliverance, the People of Israel were suffering seriously! Joseph had died and a new Pharao that did not know Joseph rose to power. He was so afraid of the Hebrews because they were starting to become a mighty nation in Egypt! The Blessing of Abraham was pursuing them even in Egypt!

“Joseph died, and all his brothers and all that generation.   But the sons of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly, and multiplied, and became exceedingly mighty, so that the land was filled with them.”   Exodus 1:6-7

Then Pharao decided to take a drastic measure and started to systematically exterminate all the baby boys!

“Then the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other was named Puah; and he said, "When you are helping the Hebrew women to give birth and see them upon the birthstool, if it is a son, then you shall put him to death; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live." But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt had commanded them, but let the boys live.” Exodus 1:15-17

King Herod would follow in these same footsteps around 2000 years later when Y'shua was born! Satan was so afraid that Deliverer was born that as a lunatic he exterminated all babies 2 years and younger!

“Then when Herod saw that he had been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the magi.  Then what had been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled:  "A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children; and she refused to be comforted, because they were no more."  Matthew 2:16-18

It is to this reality of near annihilation that Moses is born and escapes (just like Y'shua) this extermination in order to fulfill his calling to become the deliverer of His People!

“Now a man from the house of Levi went and married a daughter of Levi.  The woman conceived and bore a son; and when she saw that he was beautiful, she hid him for three months.” Exodus 2:1,2

And now 2000 years after Y'shua was born and nearly 4000 since Moses was born, satan is trying again to kill our boys. He is doing so through the Hamas in Gaza, through the Hizbollah in Lebanon, through the Palestinians in Jerusalem as they attacked the Jewish Yeshiva and killed young boys. Why is satan so seriously afraid that he tries to kill our boys, our girls, our mothers and our fathers? Simply because this is the time for the Deliverer to be BORN AGAIN! Y'shua is about to return to Israel and before He comes back, He must be "born again" in the heart of His People. He must show up to them as the Jewish Messiah. An amazing move of Revival and Deliverance will soon "hit" Israel and satan is afraid. Imagine thousands of fearless Jews preaching the Gospel in Israel and in all nations! It is totally scary to the devil so he is trying to kill us! He tried to annihilate us prior to the establishing of the State of Israel through the Nazi Shoa (Holocaust) and now prior to the establishing of the Messianic Kingdom and Thousand Year Reign of Y'shua, he is trying to do it again!

But today I have good news! Just like in Egypt, the more they kill us, the more we reproduce!

Latest Stats: Israel's Demographic Trend is Jewish, Not Arab

Yoram Ettinger, a former Israeli Embassy liaison with Congress, says it's critical for Israeli decision-makers to know that, contrary to popular perception, the proportion of Jews in the Land of Israel is rising. 

"The demographic problem is not only not lethal to Israel," Ettinger told Yishai Fleisher on IsraelNationalRadio.com, "the tailwind is in fact going in favor of the Jews, not the Arabs."

In 1995, the number of Jewish births comprised 69% of all births in Israel, while today it is 75%.

The most startling recent demographic finding, Ettinger said, "is that between 1995 and 2007, the annual number of Jewish births has increased by 40%, from some 80,000 to 112,000 Jewish births each year.  During this period, the number of Arab births within the Green Line [pre-'67 Israel] has stabilized at around 39,000 a year.  In addition, in 1995, the number of Jewish births comprised 69% of all births in Israel, while today it is 75%. This means that from year to year, Jewish society in Israel becomes relatively younger, while Arab society becomes older."

Ettinger then summed up: "What this shows is that the trend is Jewish, not Arab.  One of the conclusions must be that there is absolutely no reason for Israel to give away Jewish geography in favor of Jewish demography.  Anyone who says otherwise is either recklessly wrong or misleading."

There is no doubt that demographic optimistic and hope is much more conducive for better long-term planning, a better economy, a better investment climate, and a better social climate.

Asked by Fleisher about other important demographers whose conclusions are otherwise, Ettinger responded clearly and concisely: "The facts are that the others have been wrong, and here are some examples. In the 80s, those demographers told Israelis that there was no chance of a massive Aliyah [immigration] from the USSR, and that if the gates were to be opened, the Jews would mainly go to the US, Germany and elsewhere.  Of course, one million came to Israel... The founder of the Central Bureau of Statistics told Ben-Gurion back in 1948 to delay the Declaration of Independence because conventional demographics at that time said that the 600,000 Jews were expected to become a minority within 20 years.  They also told him not to expect Jewish Aliyah after the War of Independence.  Once again, they were wrong. They also said in the 1970s that we shouldn't expect Soviet Aliyah - when in fact about 200,000 came."

"So time after time," Ettinger said, "the conventional Israeli demographers were wrong on Aliyah, and were wrong on Jewish fertility, and were wrong on Arab industrialized world - contrary to predictions that it would drop!"

Now, that is good news and of course the fulfillment of the Promise of YHVH to Abraham that his seed will be as the sand on the seas shore and as the stars in Heaven!

Just like in the Passover Story Israel passed through the Red Sea and was delivered while all the Egyptians and their chariots drowned in the sea, Israel is about to experience a supernatural deliverance!  We invite you to join hands with the Almighty as you pray this Passover for this supernatural deliverance and as you JOIN our efforts to bring 4000 believers to the Land o Israel for Purim 2009! May the Body of Messiah arise as a Moses to Israel.
