Apostles to the Market Place #5

For you know the grace of our Lord Y’shua the Messiah, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

Shabbat shalom dearly beloved:

I owe it to myself and to those I love to write on this urgent and most important subject. In the last few days I am coming to the full realization that this wicked stronghold of POVERTY is probably the most devastating of all. The challenge before me in exposing this horrible thing is that it is covered under layers of false spirituality, deceptive theology and plain old religion! It is almost an “untouchable monster”, a fierce dragon that is sitting on the gold that is rightly ours to have! Like in the classic fairy tales, the treasure is hidden under a fearsome dragon that spews out fire every time you approach him;  Until some valiant warrior knight dares to defy the dragon, kill him and free the gold and the princess! Allow me to be this valiant warrior knight in this Shabbat Letter, and together with your own choice and self will, coupled with the Power of the Most High –destroy this age old dragon that has withheld all prosperity from you!

The first step towards deliverance from any stronghold is the personal desire of each individual to be FREE! This DESIRE needs to be STRONG INTENT, so strong that nothing will deter you from acquiring your God given freedom. This desire needs to be so strong that you would be willing to discard your own opinions if they are an obstruction to freedom. If you have a committed desire to defeat the dragon of poverty, this letter is for you. If you are happy being poor, in lack and in debt then maybe the challenge will be too much for you. I am a strong believer that when something is not really broken we should not attempt to “fix it”. So, if you are happy and content the way you are, bless you! I am talking to those that KNOW they are sick in this area and are willing to get a doctor!

First of all, in order to put the mind of all believers in Messiah at rest with the question: Does God want us prosperous? I want you to read the following Scriptures carefully and make your own decision on this. I have no doubt that YHVH’s Highest Will is for His beloved people to be FULLY WELL which includes physical, mental, spiritual and financial. I also believe that most people today treat disease as “from the devil” and know that by Y’shua’s stripes we are healed! But how many treat poverty, financial lack and debt that way? Most of us have come to terms that this is our reality and those are the facts, that financial hardship is a must and a given! Some have gone so far as to convince themselves that poverty has some spiritual value and that is the way that Elohim teaches us lessons! If you believe that being poor and in debt is teaching you a lesson, I hope that you will change your mind in this letter and that you will choose to be taught other lessons! In order for us to understand this point we need to make a decision to believe the Full Gospel and to understand why did Y’shua come and what Salvation and Redemption mean?

Y’shua came to RESTORE man. Adam was an incredible individual that suffered from no sickness, disease, lack, poverty or debt.  He sold his great blessing and inheritance to satan by breaking Yah’s Commandments! The purpose of the Almighty was for Man to always be well, prosperous and happy! He sent His beloved Son Y’shua to pay the FULL price for our redemption and restoration, and this includes the curse of poverty!

 For you know the grace of our Lord Y’shua the Messiah, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

Most people have probably “spiritualized” the above Scripture, but this is written in the context of MONEY. Y’shua gave His life for you  to be restored to fellowship with the Father in Heaven.  Just like the prodigal son in the famous parable, the Father in Heaven has received you and I with open arms, and has “killed the fatted calf” for us and gone “out of his way” to restore our inheritance to us. That includes, health, sanity, talents, callings, authority and of course PROSPERITY as well! Any “gospel” that discards the fact that salvation and redemption is a complete package is preaching a false or at best incomplete gospel! The nature of Elohim is to BLESS and to GIVE but very often He finds closed doors in our hearts! He is the very one that wants to TEACH us to PROFIT!

He is the one that said that Wisdom in our lives will bring us health and wealth!

Allow me to do a little experiment here and show you a few Scriptures and then I will deduct a negative assumption from each one just to prove a point and bring light to this extremely dark matter:

I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit, Isaiah 48:17

When YHVH teaches you, He teaches you to PROFIT so Satan teaches you to be Non-Profit or POOR!

Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding;For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor.    Proverbs 3:13-16

So the man that does not find wisdom and that does not gain understanding  will be UNHAPPY, will be sick, will die early, will be poor and will have no honor in his life or very little honor. Maybe that fits many of us that are reading these lines. If so, at least we know ONE thing: We lack Wisdom and Understanding or knowledge. Now we can search for Wisdom and Knowledge because when we find the right kind of knowledge we will be healthy and we’ll prosper. A lot of that knowledge has been “hijacked” by people that do not serve Y’shua because most “believers” have rejected knowledge and do not understand the laws of the creator!

“By humility and the Fear of YHVH are RICHES and honor and life” Proverbs 22:4

So it gathers that by pride and lack of fear of YHVH (disregarding His Commandments) there will be poverty, lack, debts, dishonor and death. So how come that many Godly people are in lack or poor? I believe that for the most part the Body of Messiah has been prideful and un-teachable! He wants to teach us to PROFIT and we want to stay poor! He wants to teach us to believe His promises and to do Positive Confession and we shun it as “name it and claim it”.  He has been trying to teach us His Laws and Commandments, and many have rejected them as “judaizing”, because the “law is done away with!”. He has been trying to teach us to dream and to use our imagination, seeing the Blessing, and we have rejected it as “New Age”. Yes, we have been very prideful and thus have remained very ignorant and very poor and can give Him no glory in this matter!

“The Blessing of YHVH makes us RICH and He adds no sorrow with it!” Proverbs 10:22

In that case, the curse of YHVH makes us POOR and very sorrowful!

How many of us can identify with the sorrow that lack, debt and poverty bring?

 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:  “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.  “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.   “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.  (7) “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.  “The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you.   “The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways.    Deuteronomy 28:1-9

Notice that in verse 7 there are enemies that come against the BLESSED People of God, that happens right before YHVH Commands His Blessing on us and we breakthrough into absolute and irreversible prosperity! Also notice that immediately AFTER He Commands the Blessing on us, then He establishes us as Holy People unto Himself! This was written for Israel but it applies to all those in the Covenant through the Jewish Messiah! There are ENEMIES that come to steal and to prevent the Blessing to be COMMANDED! And without the Blessing we cannot be established as a Holy People (separate, peculiar and consecrated to the service and glory of the Most High!). The Blessing includes: Storehouses (bank accounts, investments, savings accounts!)  When we DISPLAY the Blessing we can be DISTINGUISHED from others that are not in the Covenant! We are ineffective in our witness for Y’shua if we do not display the Blessing! This includes health, wealth, prosperity, favor, protection etc… But there is a CONDITION: IF WE OBEY HIS VOICE AND HIS COMMANDMENTS!

His Voice is the personal and daily leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives. In other words just do what He says!

His Commandments are summed up in these two that are really three:

If you want breakthrough and to totally destroy the dragon of poverty in your life, please define which Commandment you may have been violating?

Violating any of this threesome would cause you to be POOR, in LACK and/or in debt!

Most people do not regard sinning against themselves as a serious matter, but it is a very serious matter to abuse yourself and to underpay yourself! I have spent many years sinning against myself because of ignorance. As a Minister of God I never paid myself wages, opened savings accounts or invested. I was always busy doing “God’s work” and had no time for “frills” for myself. My husband says that I am the only woman he knows that can be dressed, showered, made up and ready in 10 minutes from waking time! I did not allow any “waste of time” on myself. As if that was a “waste of time!” I have travelled to a huge amount of countries to minister and I did not allow myself any time for recreation and simple enjoyment in these nations; Only my duty and no “frills”. I am telling you all this because I believe that many of you have been seriously sinning against yourselves and just like me you are mistaken to believe that it is not a serious sin, but it is! It is as serious as sinning against the Creator and against other people! Maybe you are thinking: I have given so much of myself and have tithed, have given money to the poor so why am I poor, in debt and in lack? The answer is simple: You have violated a great Commandment! Love your neighbor as YOURSELF!

Now, there is no need to beat yourself up about this! Just repent, unburden your pain and disappointment before your Abba, who understands your ignorance, and CHANGE! Bring balance to your life by honoring all 3 parts of these two Commandments and realize that the second Commandment includes TWO IN ONE. Love your neighbor and love YOURSELF!

Not loving or regarding yourself as valuable, worthy or important will bring LOW SELF ESTEEM and low self esteem will bring about POVERTY! Raise up your own self esteem, see yourself as valuable and your financial situation will change! You will invest in yourself, will study, will get trained in financial matters and will breakthrough!

I come from a faith background that taught me that if I saved any money I was in unbelief, so I needed to give it all up for the “purposes of God’s Kingdom”. That I needed no pension fund for “He will take care of me”; Investments were totally out of the question as “worldly” and delving in the love of Mammon. That all my money belongs to the Lord so I am not entitled to any of it! When I bought any dresses for myself I waited until there were sales in the USA (in Israel it was too expensive) and then I tried to look for the cheapest dresses that looked the best! After all this was “God’s money”! How dare I to use it for something so “fleshly” as dressing myself with elegant and expensive clothing? The first time that my husband bought me a Jewel, I protested very strongly as a “waste of money that we do not have”. I heard the Holy Spirit rebuking me strongly and saying: “Allow your husband to bless you!” Since then in obedience to the Lord I allowed him to bless me, but I secretly suffered every time that he spent “unnecessary money” on me and on such “frills” such as Jewels. I used to say that “I hate shopping”. My husband (who simply loves shopping!) says that entering into a store with me was a real ordeal: I would be what I called “matter of fact” and made sure to get out of there as fast as I could! It was not fun to go shopping with me! I used to suffer so much!

I was so religious about financial matters that when Abba began to lead me to the arena of business and sales, I was utterly surprised! One day I was ministering in Mexico and a revival broke out because of our ministry! A brother gave me some money to buy him a shofar in Israel. I was indignant and I said to him: I came here to preach the Word of God not to sell you shofars! Immediately I heard the Holy Spirit telling me “why not? You are creating a need for Jewish items, go ahead and fill it!” I was astounded! But that is how our ministry shop was born! Without it we would have not made it as in some nations that do not know how to give offerings.  I did not have enough time to give them a seminar on giving on top of my other topics! People did buy and that kept us going! 

I used to be a great business woman and had my own chain of health food shops prior to my New Birth, but it did not enter my mind that a Servant of God, so holy like me could also be a business woman! I missed my shops very often and used to tell the Lord that if He would just allow me, I would reopen some again, as “I love it!” It did not occur to me that He was not preventing me from doing so! But my religious theology was! For the most part it is erroneous belief and religious theology that will keep us poor because of the fear that caring about financial issues would offend God! Today I believe that we offend Elohim and His name greatly if we choose to stay POOR! I believe that to PROSPER FINANCIALLY is as important as to be physically and mentally healthy. Most family, marriage and ministry problems are connected with financial lack! Yes my friends,  poverty is a dragon that MUST be defeated! The best way to defeat it is with KNOWLEDGE!

I was ignorant and I paid a great price for this ignorance! I pray that you will not have to pay the price that I did! I once calculated that “The Lord owed me” over 2 Million $$$ in wages that I never received; (now I realize that I simply did not pay MYSELF!). I calculated those wages according to the minimum pay to a good executive ($120.000 a year). The work that I have done as a Pastor, Preacher, Bishop and Minister of God had no day and no night. I did not have “a life” or time for myself for many years. I functioned as a mother, a wife, a psychologist, a doctor, a nutritionist, a teacher, a writer, a singer, tour guide etc…I really should have been paid at least $50.000 a month + expenses! And on top of it I travelled to countless countries in uncomfortable economy class flights, stayed in many uncomfortable places, ate some food I do not really care for and battled for the life of thousands of people I do not really know! Surely I worked as a diplomat, an Ambassador and a Statesman, (even though I am a woman!). Yes, surely I should have been paid over $100.000 a month for all these inconveniences and sacrifice! But no, I did not even pay myself $10 a month! I opened no savings accounts, bought myself not one house or property and no investments! Once one of our partners had the sense to buy some shares for us in a gold mine in Alaska, that was the first and only time that we had anything set aside.  Because they bought it for us, we dared not touch it so we did not give it away to some “lofty cause”!

Now, please do not get religious on me! I know that Elohim is a debtor of none! And I know that I have had a very peculiar Apostolic-Prophetic Ministry to say the least! But this does not exempt me from the mistakes that I have made in the financial arena by sinning against myself! It does not excuse me for the ignorance that I had in financial matters thinking that I was “spiritual and sacrificial”. True I was and I am very spiritual and sacrificial, but I also was IGNORANT and it caused me a lot of pain! Now, I pray that you will not remain ignorant and that you will enjoy happiness and the Blessing and still serve Elohim with all of your heart!

In order to be established as a Holy Covenanted People we need to prosper in every area of our lives! We need to learn, (be taught,) how to PROFIT and how to MAKE WEALTH! We have been very ignorant in these areas and there is a Holy Mandate from Heaven:

COME OUT OF POVERTY AND LET ME TEACH YOU TO PROFIT!

By definition poverty is: Need, indigent, lack of means of substance, deficiency in necessary properties or desirable qualities, inferiority, inadequacy, unproductive, smallness in amount, scarcity, scantiness.

If we need to open more credit cards because we do not have enough, we are still poor even if we do not look poor! The Good News is that we can come out of it and start TODAY! How do we start? By using Power and Knowledge to make more wealth!

“I give you power (wisdom and knowledge) to make wealth to establish My Covenant!” Deuteronomy 8:18
