Cry of Revival #53 For YHVH had said of them, "They shall surely die in the wilderness " And not a man was left of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun. Numbers 26:65 Shabbat shalom dearly beloved: Having our dwelling place in Eilat, in the desert on the Red Sea, makes me think about Moses and the many tests that he had to endure in this same whereabouts. Enjoying the summer in Eilat means to walk inside of a “Finnish Sauna” all the time with maybe 45 degrees centigrade in the shade! I personally enjoy the dry heat very much as long as I have plenty of water and occasional respites in Air Conditioned spaces! Going into the cool and refreshing waters of the Red Sea refreshes my spirit, soul and body to no end but I do not know how Moses felt when about 1 million Israelites needed to cross it and he had no clue how it could be possible! I also have no clue how he felt when the same 1 million Israelites (more or less) were literally “dying of thirst” as they followed Moses who followed the Lord! Truly ½ hour without water in this heat is enough to make you feel desperate for WATER but 3 days??? It is really incomprehensible! The most challenging part in all of this is that Moses was actually following God! He really could not miss it because the Cloud of Glory went before him by day and the Pillar of Fire by night. Elohim was literally going before him! YHVH was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people. Exodus 13:21,22 The question is what kind of a father leads His children to dead ends like the Red Sea was? And to a place of certain death when the Egyptians were closing in behind the People? Or to die of thirst in a desert that can kill you of heat? And then when finally water is found it is actually Bitter Waters, the Waters of Marah! When they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter; therefore it was named Marah. So the people grumbled at Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?" Exodus 15:23,24 Not to mention that this water shortage repeated itself a few times until Moses had to strike a rock in order to get some water from it, making himself the laughing stock of his already upset people! The good news is that when the Red Sea parted; Israel crossed on dry ground; all the chariots of Pharao and his soldiers went to a watery grave; the people arrived to Elim with 70 palm trees and springs AND water gushed out of the rock when Moses stroke it, YHVH had fully vindicated His Servant! Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink." And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. He named the place Massah and Meribah because of the quarrel of the sons of Israel, and because they tested the LORD, saying, "Is the LORD among us, or not?" Numbers 17:6-7 Nevertheless they kept on murmuring with every new trial and threatening to return to Egypt and even do a “coup d’etat” on Moses or even kill him. This makes me think of some situations that I have had to face when following Yah’s direction it looked like I went completely wrong! People were expecting one outcome and we got another! I have had many serious tests in my life and ministry as I endeavor to follow the Lord whole heartedly! I do not have a Cloud by day to guide nor a Pillar by night but I do have the Holy Spirit WITHIN me and His unfailing Word! Nevertheless when things don’t come out the way we all expected it has a tendency of “separating the men from the boys” among my disciples, partners and team. Each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work. 1 Corinthians 3:13 Every time that I go through a TEST, it actually tests the quality of faith of the people around me. (When I talk about TEST, I do not talk about adultery or fornication or any sin of idolatry or immorality, but rather life’s circumstances, misunderstandings or persecution) Those whose faith cannot stand the tests tend to get upset, frustrated and irritated; some even become God’s opponents! And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 Unbelief is a very serious and contagious disease that can kill many if not treated on time! Unbelief causes people to fail the tests! For when true leaders are tested (as all True Leaders and Deliverers will be!), the faith of all the people around them is tested! Those that were secretly criticizing the said leader in their heart, maybe also talking about him/her behind their backs, will show their True Colours and will come out of the closet! During the time of testing of their Bishop, Pastor or Leader, they will become the most outspoken, self righteous critics that “know better”. They will exalt themselves and will try to “take over”. Many will leave to join someone else of their own liking and choosing and will become true enemies in the name of “God”. They refuse to let the testing of faith build true character. These are following the Lord only IF He does things their way and in their timing! But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. or men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.2 Timothy 3:1-5 I have realized that when I go through a test and when my following the Holy Spirit with my all heart does not lead me to the place that I expected in the time that I hoped for, I will find who my true friends are….And who my true enemies are. So, the test is for all involved and it eventually bears much fruit! For when it is finally time to reach the Land of Promise of Prophetic Fulfillment, I will “cross over the Jordan River” with those that are like Joshua and Caleb and all those that follow their example! My ministry team and partners will be of the Joshua, Caleb, Deborah and Ruth quality and those with them will have the same attributes because people follow by example. The quality of your friends and team is always tested by the Trials that you go through in your “desert experiences”! So next time that you find yourself at a Financial Red Sea or at The Waters of Marah, remember that Elohim is not only testing you, but He is actually doing you a service by putting all the people around you to a test! He did this with King David, with the Apostle Paul and with others! “A friend loves at all times” Proverbs 17:17a Ultimately if you just trust Him throughout thick and thin you will be left with high quality people that will be faithful to the end! All things truly work for good when we follow Him! The Tests of Moses managed to “filter” nearly 1 million murmuring and complaining people, into only two real friends! TWO IN A MILLION ARE WORTH ALL THE TROUBLE! WITH THEM YOU CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!!! Numbers 26:65 At this point in time, Israel needs to make tough decisions that will incur in the outspoken enmity of many nations as promised in the Holy Scriptures, especially about the Division of Jerusalem and the relinquishing of more Biblical Land to our enemies! If PM Benjamin Netanyahu decides to follow The Cloud and not “the international crowd” we will truly find out who are True Friends are from among the nations and from among all Christians! Ultimately YHVH blesses those “Two in a Million” who “stick it” with Israel and the Jews especially when we are surrounded by enemies and “Red Sea” situations! It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it. Zechariah 12:3 We at present in the Ministry are also going through a “Red Sea” kind of situation financially and many other ministry challenges. It is the Lord Himself that brought us here as we follow Him in His quest for the salvation of Israel, Revival and the Restoration of the Nations. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
