Cry of Revival #51 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 Shabbat shalom dearly beloved! It is amazing how the desert was the start of a breakthrough for a nation that has impacted all the other nations in the world. Israel as a nation starts her walk with God in the desert! It is in the desert that she receives The Heavenly Constitution called The Ten Commandments and it is through the desert that the 12 tribes had to walk in order to be prepared to possess the Promised Land. The desert is the most strategic location for the restoration of Israel and thus of great importance to the nations. Today it comprises over 55% of the present day Land of Israel. it contains the hope for the future settlement of millions of Jews that are about to flee from all the nations of the world and return to Zion and especially the Sephardic (Spanish) Jews. And the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will possess the cities of the Negev (South-Desert). Obadiah 20 The Desert of Israel has many names such as NEGEV (meaning South), ARAVA (meaning Wilderness), MIDBAR YEHUDA (Desert place where the DABAR, the Word is received by Judah). Much of the history of Israel happens in the desert. King David is forged in the desert where he hides from Saul. David overcomes his distress and anguish by writing the many Psalms that we enjoy today in Ein Gedy, an oasis in the Desert of Judea, near the Sea of Salt (Dead Sea). The desert is a place that provokes spiritual thirst and a great place for birthing new Prophetic Worship as David’s! As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? Psalms 42:1,2 The pain of persecution, banishment, loneliness, fear and distress birthed the most beautiful Psalms in David! Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me. Psalms 42:7 (written in the oasis of Ein Gedy in the Desert of Judea) Are you in a spiritual-emotional-physical desert? It is seeking Him and worshipping Him that will carry you through and will help you to persevere! All the “trappings” are gone in the desert and one is “laid bare” before The Almighty! Eagles change their plumage in solitary places. David waited for 14 years in the desert and finally he was ready to become King of Israel! Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:31 It is the desert that David’s Army was formed and it is the desert that the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) is trained with live ammunition! Our First Prime Minister, the legendary David Ben Gurion stated that “The hope for the future of Israel is in the Negev (South or Desert)” We know that Y’shua said that the demons when they leave a human being go into “dry places” seeking for rest and finding none. So, we know that the desert is a place of ongoing “spiritual activity” and so it builds spiritual character! Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it. Matthew 12:43 It is in the Desert, MIDBAR, that the People of Israel, 2000 years ago, were called to REPENTANCE and to PREPARE for the First Advent of Messiah by John the Baptizer! MIDBAR comes from the word DABAR which means THE WORD! In the MIDBAR His Living Word is received! It is in the desert again that the modern day People of Israel will hear The Call for REPENTANCE before the Second Coming of Messiah. The desert is a place of repentance and preparation! A voice is calling, "Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness; Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God. Isaiah 40:3 When the Holy Spirit sent us to be Gate Keepers of the South Gate of Israel, we knew that He was preparing His People for His imminent RETURN! He again has a Voice crying in the wilderness saying, Prepare the way of the Lord! The only downfall in the Desert is the same ones of the Children of Israel thousands of years ago; when we murmur, complain and display UNBELIEF! It is here that we need to exercise the Prophetic Gifts and SEE in the Spirit! Beware of doubt and unbelief! This is the place to believe and proclaim Yah’s Unfailing Promises and prevail as Joshua and Caleb did! Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews 11,1.6 The Voice is Calling all the People of God in the nations and in Israel to get ready for Y’shua is about to return. This is a time of great preparation of heart and soul to seek Him with all our hearts, to repent for all that has offended Him, including heart attitudes and bitterness and then to WORSHIP Him ! O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly (before the sun is up!); My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. Psalms 63:1 It is here in Eilat on the Red Sea, what is commonly called in Israel “The ends of the earth”, surrounded by Arab nations, by Mountains, Desert and Sea, that we have released our TV program “Revival Cry” and our life changing Bible School GRM! It is from here, the South Gate of Israel, the place where the Israeli tribes came through to inherit the Promised Land, that the Prophetic Voice of Israel is going out into the nations and into all the Land of Israel! That is Calling, Prophesying, Training and Releasing the End Time Impartation for REVIVAL world- wide! The wilderness and the desert will be glad, and the Arabah will rejoice and blossom; Like the crocus It will blossom profusely and rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy the glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon they will see the glory of the LORD, the majesty of our God. Isaiah 35:1-2 It is in the desert that we receive the greatest encouragement and strengthening! The desert is a place of SALVATION! Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, "Take courage, fear not, behold, your God will come with vengeance; the recompense of God will come, but He will save you." Isaiah 35:3,4 This is a place of REVELATION, MIRACLES and BREAKTHROUGH! Pray that all the Israelis that come to Eilat will have the blinders removed so they can believe in Messiah Y’shua! Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy for waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the Arabah.
