Cry of Revival # 44 He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven." Genesis 28:17 Continuation from last week….. Shabbat shalom dearly beloved: I was in my prayer retreat this month preparing for the monthly meeting of the believers in Eilat, here in Israel that we call “The Feast of The King”. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said “Every home a Bethel”. Beth-El means in Hebrew The House of God and He was admonishing that I was to call the believers in the city to make their homes Alter of prayer and worship, a place where the Glory of Yah (God) dwells. *Every home a Bethel* became “Rhema” word in my heart and I conveyed it the people. The following morning after the meeting I woke up with this thought in my heart: “When the heart is a Bethel, the home becomes a Bethel”. If our hearts are places of holiness, prayer and worship then it gathers that our very presence will transform our homes to such a place- A Bethel. The KEY is the heart, where is our heart, what is our heart doing? What is it meditating on, what is it beholding? We really become what we “behold”, what we ENVISION. Watch what you Watch! I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me. Psalms 101:3 King David was aware that the eyes are the window to the soul. It is through the eyes that evil can come in. That is the reason why in this 21st Century satan is using plenty of visual images to create a lawless and perverted culture. Wherever we turn there are images before our eyes; TV images, computer images, billboards and what not. Most of these images are totally corrupt, they are lustful, pornographic, seductive and/or violent. We are literally flooded by images, it is a TORRENT of WICKEDNESS! Today I sought Yah during my Before Dawn prayers (4 AM we call it in Hebrew Ashacaharecha or “I will seek you before the sun is up!”). I was very tired as we went to sleep late last night after the monthly Eilat meeting “The Feast of the King”. I was barely making it awake but still asked Abba to give me a word, like He does EVERY morning! (Fresh Manna!). He said TORRENT. I did not understand what He meant. Later on, Karen my EA told me that in computer jargon, it means a terrible virus that corrupts all your files! Now, I understand, there is a torrent of iniquity and perversion that is coming out of the images projected from the internet and the TV. It is corrupting millions of people and among them many, many call themselves “Christian” or “Messianic”! Lord help us! This is a violent assault on the very soul of humanity! I will set no worthless thing* before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me.* Psalms 101:3 In Hebrew the word “worthless” here is BLIAL. It means “WITHOUT ANYTHING FROM ABOVE”. In other words through TV, Internet, movies, magazines, newspapers and all images there is a TORRENT of WORTHLESS and demonic data that is penetrating our souls. BLIAL, not from above but from BELOW! Because of that our hearts and our homes are NOT a BETHEL with a Gate opened to Heaven but rather a BETH-HELL with a gate opened to the demonic realm-to HELL! The screens have become an IDOL in the midst of the home, in the midst of your room, in the midst of your heart! This is so serious that a Radical Repentance is needed! We cannot go ½ way here because this is a TORRENT, a FLOOD of wickedness and it is CORRUPTING this generation at a rapid pace! We cannot be passive about this, we must HATE it! The level of tolerance of this generation (including Christians!) to wickedness and corruption is incredible! This TORRENT is everywhere and we must resist it courageously and set a standard in our lives and homes that is not only above the normal but RADICALLY DIFFERENT! Y’shua showed me that the TV is an idol in the home, it takes central place and it gets most all your attention! Beloved, I refuse to put cables at home! Most everything that comes in through the cable companies is totally corrupt! “He that sows to the flesh will reap corruption” Galatians 6:8. I refuse to put my money into this filth and believe I have had pressure to do it from my kids (that are big by now) and they say “do it for me” trying to manipulate my “mother’s feelings” and I say, nope! I refuse to please my kids and offend the Living God! You shall have no other gods before Me. Deuteronomy 5:7 TURN THE TORRENT OFF! 2. Choose to know no evil A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil. Psalms 101:4 To stay pure, holy and righteous today is a choice for the courageous only. It is impossible to walk in holiness without being radical, hate sin and choose to KNOW no evil. Evil is lurking at every corner, it is easy to know evil. The word KNOW here is the word EDAH from the word YADAH which means “to have intimacy with” like a husband and a wife when they have marital relations. King David is saying I will not “flirt, entertain or have intimacy” with evil. In other words: “I will not go to bed with satan!” Every time we entertain wicked thoughts and lustful desires, fantasies and what not and we let them penetrate our souls, we are “going to bed with evil”. Actions only follow THOUGHTS, evil thoughts precede evil actions! But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28 Beloved, Adonai is calling us to a radical lifestyle of holiness and worship! He is saying: EVERY HEART A BETHEL, EVERY HOME A BETHEL. He is calling us to RADICAL REPENTANCE and no more compromise! Then we will be a source of salvation and miracles to set the other free! Then our homes will be a place of refuge, they will be LIGHTHOUSES for His Glory where Angelic visitations are the NORM! During these shaky times of “between judgment and revival” He is calling us back to Himself, back to the basics, back to KINGDOM LIFESTYLE of PRAYER, PRAISE and WORD! We must “stick out like a sore thumb and be radically different than the “acceptable norm”. That was the lifestyle of the Jewish early Church in Jerusalem, they loved the Torah, obeyed God’s Commandments, walked in holiness and righteousness and their very shadow healed the sick! Each one and each home was a dedicated BETHEL, a gate opened to Heaven, a House of Elohim-God! And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they kept right on teaching and preaching Y’shua HaMashiach.
