The Ultimate Blessing # 5
THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX
Shabbat shalom dearly beloved!
“Sarah laughed to herself, saying, "After I have become old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?" Genesis 18:12
It has been for many days now that the Spirit of Adonai has been talking to me and to all of us in the ministry about the importance of thinking outside of the box. Can you imagine yourself being Abraham or Sarah and receiving news that totally short circuited their own logic?
“He said, "I will surely return to you at this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son." And Sarah was listening at the tent door, which was behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in age; Sarah was past childbearing.” Genesis 18:10,11
The Angel of Yahveh was speaking outside of the KNOWN experience of this powerful couple! The very fact of having an angel show up is enough to send some people’s thoughts to all kinds of directions! On top of that the Message that this supernatural being brought was so extremely far out and impossible that it caused a nervous laughter (or maybe a sarcastic laughter!) in Sarah! She was so ashamed of laughing that she denied it later on! Abraham had been yearning for an heir, he could not fathom that Eliezer his servant would be his only heir! Where was the God of the Covenant? How could he remove the shame of barrenness? How would he multiply as the Stars of Heaven and as the Sand of the Sea Shore as promised to him already in Genesis 15?
“And He took him outside and said, "Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them " And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be." Then he believed in the LORD; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.” Genesis 15:5,6
Abraham believed but for a long time he did not see “HOW” it would come about? Most of us have received amazing promises from Yahveh, we have burning desires and dreams that we yearn to fulfill! But also most of us just like our Faith Parents Abraham and Sarah get stuck on the “HOW”. The same thing that happened to them has probably happened and it may be happening to all of us: They were LIMITED by what they KNEW! Their own limited knowledge and experience was actually hindering them from receiving The Promise! They were probably trying to “figure out” how to do this and so Sarah had already proceeded to find a solution that was reasonable at that time as she gave her maid servant Hagar to Abraham. Of course Ishmael was born and he was (and still is!) nothing but trouble! (Even here I believe that an out of the box solution is needed for Ishmael to actually become a blessing! But more on that on another letter!))
I can say with a few years of experience behind me that when I need a solution to a problem or when I am yearning to fulfill my dreams, the answers are always outside of the box! The answers are outside of what I had expected and figured out! Especially when it comes to inheriting the Promise and manifesting the Blessing! I remember in 1991I was fresh out of Bible School and ordained to the ministry. I had been seriously crying out for finances! My Israel was far away, so where my children and family. And here we were Rabbi and I in a small apartment in Dallas with almost no furniture and for dining room we had a cardboard box and were sitting on the floor! I was quite upset with Abba: “How can You treat Your servants this way?” to which He answered me with a promise! “You will walk in the Prosperity of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!” In the reality that I was experiencing, being an Apostolic Minister to the nations; I was as far from the Prosperity of Abraham as the East is from the West! I thought: Surely someone will be “touched by God” and bring us lots of money until we are rich! And surely this never came to pass! (It may yet happen but since 16 years ago it has not!). I remember when I was in Mexico preaching in a large congregation, someone came to me and said:
Please take this money and buy me a shofar in Israel.
I was quite upset and I answered him: I did not come to sell you shofars but to preach the Word! The Holy Spirit instantly spoke to me and said: WHY NOT? I was amazed! This was “outside of my box”! That is how our SHOP was born (press on www.kad-eshmapshop.org!). Had it not been for that shop we would have starved to death as offerings weren’t always very bright some years!
Then when we returned to Israel from the “mission field” three and a half years later, we were accomplished ministers with a curriculum of signs, wonders, miracles, blind eyes opened and congregations established! We had already proven ourselves as Yah’s ministers and the anointing was with us everywhere we went! I thought surely offerings will come pouring in! But they did not! And I found myself working as a tour guide again! I thought that “profession” was not for me a Minister! That was WORK! However Yah provided mightily through it and He blessed me to reach hundreds and even thousands of people with the Gospel as I took them through the sites of Israel. In one of my tours people got saved, spirit filled and water baptized and I was paid to do this! Awesome!
A few years ago Yah said to me: I am calling five fold ministers into the business arena.
Now, that is outside of the box for most Ministers! Most Ministers I know are just like I used to be! They are expecting to get wealthy and have a pension for old age from offerings! Most of them are hoping and they are disappointed! Many of them are seriously depressed because when we hope on something that never comes to pass it causes depression!
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12
The answer my dearly beloved co-laborers in the Gospel is OUTSIDE OF YOUR BOX!
When we joined Agel, the Network Marketing Company that we are working with for the last 4 months, this was totally outside of the box! I would have never imagined that when Yah promised me prosperity, He meant that I would become a business woman! I truly thought that all the money will “fall from heaven” somehow. It took me 16 long years since that Promise to wake up to the fact that the solution was unconventional! I hope that it does not take you 16 years from this letter to wake up and find solutions outside of YOUR box!
Abraham and Sarah’s solution was not in the realm of the known but rather the unknown; they had never imagined that a baby could be born after menopause! For me, I would have never imagined becoming professional in network marketing or any business for that matter after being a Pastor. A Bishop an ordained minister! This was outside of MY box!
It is amazing how the Holy Spirit prepares illustrations before I write these letters!
The other day Rabbi Baruch, my husband was in the shower and he was looking for the new Agel skin care cosmetics called Ageless! He loves them as they rejuvenate his skin (yes! Men also need rejuvenation of skin not only women. This may be outside of the box for some men!). So, he was feverishly looking for them and could not find them. I said: Honey they are all there! He said: No they are not! We played this “ping pong” as we held this conversation from the bedroom to the shower: Yes they are there, no they are not, etc.. Finally I went to the shower and showed him all the seven products and creams standing clearly for all to see on the cosmetics chest of drawers. They were on the top right in front of his very eyes!
“Ahh he said, I could not recognize them because they were not in the BOX!”
Until that day we had kept all of them in their original box and had used them from there, since they are new. The previous night Karen had taken them OUT OF THE BOX and they were even more visible! Nevertheless my husband could not SEE them because they were OUT OF THE BOX!
Beloved what is it that you are not seeing because it is presented to you in a different way?
How many things, blessings, solutions and promises are now being fulfilled but you can’t recognize them because you EXPECT them to be according to what you had figured out? Just like it was for Abraham and Sarah, this is the Year of the Open Door and of Prophetic Fulfillment!
IN A YEAR FROM NOW MANY OF US WILL BE EMBRACING OUR ISAACS!
Today it requires to THINK and to ACT OUTSIDE OF THE BOX!
Maybe you have thought that if you work for 40 years in one place you will get a pension! Maybe you are disappointed, you have been laid off. Maybe you are a pastor or a leader with unfulfilled dreams because of finances, maybe you are discouraged or depressed and you have limited your thinking to your own box. Allow The Lord to take you outside of the box, open up for some unconventional answers and solutions!
Is there anything too hard for YAH? (God)
"Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son." Genesis 18:14
