The Ultimate Blessing #2
A GREAT SELF ESTEEM!
“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers” 3 John 2
Shabbat shalom dearly beloved!
As we all move into the fullness of the Blessing of Abraham, we must recognize the factor which has torpedoed us and obstructed us from displaying the Ultimate Blessing in our lives! The following are two of the most prevalent reasons why people are stuck in a vicious circle of mediocrity and failure:
- Fear of failure
- Fear of Success
Though these fears above mentioned seem to be different, yet they carry with them the same results: FAILURE
Let me explain here that no fear will help you succeed! Except the healthy fear of YHVH alone! The fear of YHVH will cause you to believe His words and to walk in His ways. In other words the fear of YHVH will make you successful!
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases;” Psalms 103:1-3
When we fear and love Elohim (The Creator) we will actually believe all of His promises and follow them and we will not forget His benefits (Compensation Plan!) When we fear Him we believe that HE IS, and that HE REWARDS!
“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
Nehemiah knew Him very well and he was not ashamed or embarrassed to ask Yahveh to reward him!
“And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come as gatekeepers to sanctify the sabbath day For this also remember me, O my God, and have compassion on me according to the greatness of Your” Nehemiah 13:22
Nehemiah constantly reminded The Almighty of what he had done for Him and asked Him to Remember and to Reward! When is the last time that you evaluated the fruits of your labors for YAH (God) and seeing that they are wholesome, You asked Him to remember YOU and to reward YOU? Are we any different or better than Nehemiah? He needed the favor and the blessing of God and He wanted his efforts on behalf of God’s Covenant and People to be rewarded!
“Thus I purified them from everything foreign and appointed duties for the priests and the Levites, each in his task,” Nehemiah 13:30
People that do not want any reward for their labors and that continually say: “I am nothing, it’s all Him I don’t deserve anything” suffer actually from low self esteem and they are really afraid of being noticed, acclaimed and rewarded accordingly! This fear of failure/success syndrome is very common among Christians and believers in Messiah. I believe that this is a reminiscent of the “self abasement” theology that was prevalent in the Catholic Church and which is an outcome of Replacement Theology of course! Nehemiah was not a Catholic or a Protestant; he was a Jew that valued his God and valued himself! That is the reason why Nehemiah was allowed to be near the King of Persia as a cupbearer, he knew who he was! He was not arrogant but rather had a healthy self esteem, he believed in his God and he believed in himself! Of course he accomplished the work that he was set to do and asked to be rewarded accordingly!
People that have a great self esteem set goals before them and accomplish them. People that harbor the fear of failure/success syndrome have lots of trouble establishing any provable goals! Goals help determine the level of achievement in our lives! When we are afraid of failure or of success we will be afraid of ACHIEVING anything so we will not set up any goals! That way no one can measure us at all! We actually hide behind our own false spirituality and call our underachievement “God’s will”!
Y’shua was very clear with His Jewish Apostles; He gave them a Great Commission of making disciples of all nations!
All authority has been given to Me in Heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations. Matthew 28:18, 19
He wanted entire nations to be discipled in the ways of His Kingdom! He wanted us to teach His ways and His Commandments to all nations! Today after 2000 years of underachievement the Church has not succeeded to teach His Commandments to even ONE entire nation! That is the reason why there are no Sheep Nations in the 21st Century!
"All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;” Matthew 25:32
What is the reason? A wrong belief system in Christianity called Replacement Theology that has persecuted the Jews for being Jews, changed the name of Messiah, the laws of the Torah, the times and the seasons and it has taught a poverty stricken, low self esteem, underachieving, no authority Gospel! It is truly time to return to Greatness and to the Gospel made in Zion! It is high time to display the Blessing of Abraham and to meet the GOAL of making disciples of all nations! He said that we MUST teach the nations all that He taught! He taught to obey His Commandments, He taught the Torah! He said that this will bring us greatness!
"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. "Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. "For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-20
Breaking His Commandments causes low self esteem and that is why the fear of failure/success syndrome sets in. Look at Adam! He changed from a well adjusted person with absolutely no shame and no fear to a man full of shame and fear, only because he broke Elohim’s only Commandment! (And it was a dietary law!)
Then the LORD God called to the man, and said to him, " Where are you?" He said, "I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself." Genesis 3:9-10
People that hide themselves because of fear and shame are displaying low self esteem! Some of them broke God’s Commandments in the past and they still carry the shame with them! Instead of fully receiving God’s forgiveness through Y’shua, they insist on carrying the shame! Others are constantly breaking God’s Commandments so they keep on being ashamed! Others were abused as children and chose to believe lies about themselves! Even if you were abused as a child or as a woman, you can shake off the lies that you have believed, you can change your self esteem TODAY!
Prior to the Fall; Adam (male and female!) had it all! They had all authority over the earth and were completely prosperous! They had a healthy self image and self esteem to the point that they were naked and they were not ashamed! They believed in Elohim, believed in themselves and loved each other! Dear saints, there is only one that does not want you prosperous, successful and famous and that is the snake of snakes, satan himself! He is jealous of all humans because we are the heirs of the earth and we have been created in the image and likeness of the Creator and we possess all of His Mighty attributes! Angels are lower than humans and satan is a fallen
angel! We have angels that serve us and minister unto us and we have authority over all demons! (Fallen angels)
"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.” Luke 10:19
Maybe you have failed in the past but that does not make you a failure! The only thing that will make you a failure is to stop trying! Never quit or stop trying to achieve your goals and your God given dreams! Be like Thomas Edison. Graham Bell and Theodore Herzl! They all pursued their goals and their dreams until they achieved them! Because of their faith and tenacity born of a very healthy self esteem, we enjoy today light in our homes, we continually use the telephone, I live in Israel the reborn Jewish nation and thousands of tourists from all nations come and visit Jerusalem (like Theodore Herzl predicted!).
People that are afraid of success will normally obstruct their own progress and will be afraid to set up any goals. They will have an air of spirituality and false humility; will glory on all their sufferings and on how hard following Y’shua is. They will also try to convince everyone else to be as poor, insignificant, obscure and miserable as they are in order to keep themselves “holy”!
Y’shua said that His yoke is easy and that His burden is light!
"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30
Whether you have failed in the past and have stopped trying to achieve wholesome goals or whether you believe that success is “dangerous and from the devil”, I suggest that you change your mind and that you align yourself with YAH’s Word on this: He wants YOU to be healthy and prosperous but the condition is a PROSPEROUS SOUL!
The best way to describe prosperity in the soul is:
A GREAT SELF ESTEEM!
When your self esteem is healthy then you can love God, yourself and others and will want the BEST out of life for yourself and for others! And what is the BEST? The fulfillment of the Blessing given to Abraham that was a repeat of the one given to Adam that he lost!
“Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father's house, to the land which I will show you; And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing;” Genesis 12:1-2
In order to be great, prosperous, famous and influential like Abraham we must leave the “Land of the familiar fear of failure/fear of success syndrome and go to a Land that we do not know! The Land flowing with Milk and Honey, the Land where all people of great self esteem go, the Promised Land of Blessing!
All of my forefathers knew this Ultimate Blessing! Many of them suffered on their way to Kingdom self fulfillment such as King David, Joseph and Daniel; but as they kept faithful in pursuit of God’s Kingdom and their God given dreams, they displayed the fullness of the Blessing of Abraham. Today I am so grateful that they did that so I can derive an example from them! How about you?
People of great self esteem will attract similar people; people of low self esteem will attract similar people!
People of low self esteem will try to bring you down with their logical negativity and their mediocrity and limitations. People of great self esteem will always inspire you to go higher, to believe more, to be more and to have more. They will never succumb to failure even if like Edison they need to try 10.000 times before they achieve their goals! For people of great self esteem SUCCESS is a way of life! Whether they have achieved their goals or not, they carry on themselves an air of success, even when they are in the PIT like Joseph!
Success and Blessing is a SPIRIT and it is cultivated by true believers and by positive people of great self esteem!
If you have suffered from the fear of failure/fear of success syndrome you can change today. It is EASY to change. Just choose from this moment that you are not afraid of failure and of success! Choose to walk in the Spirit of the Ultimate Blessing, in faith, in obedience, in pursuit of God inspired goals. Failure cannot affect you unless you refuse to learn from it! Every time I have failed, I have learned a lesson that has made me better! I have been learning for 48 years and 19 of those serving the Messiah! I will never stop walking in the Ultimate Blessing and learning from my mistakes and other people’s mistakes! When your self esteem is great you are not afraid of CHANGE and of being corrected!
In fact people of great self esteem embrace change, embrace learning and allow no one to bring them down!
When someone corrects me, my self esteem is never threatened! I see it as a great privilege that someone would care enough to help make me better! If you are offended when corrected, you have entertained low self esteem and if you hide and disappear or break off ties afterwards, you have allowed low self esteem to lead you. Enough to low self esteem! We have been made a little lower than Elohim, the Creator, in His image and likeness!
“What is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,” Psalms 8:4-6 NAS
