Covenant of Blessing #1

YOM HAKIPPURIM EDITION

22nd September 2007/ 10th Tishrei 5658

THE BLESSING IS HIS HIGHEST WILL

“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.”  3 John 2

Shabbat shalom dearly beloved:

We are preparing to enter the Holiest Day in the Biblical Calendar, the 10th of Tishrei (21-22 September this year). This is the Day of Judgment and Mercy, the Day of Atonement, Yom HaKippurim. No other day in the Biblical year carries more weight of importance than this one. In Israel all business of life HALTS! All shops close, no cars travel besides emergency services, most people fast with no food and no water for 24 hours and most people are in the synagogues dressed in white entreating YHVH for Mercy, that in Judgment He will remember Mercy. In ancient Israel two goats were chosen, one to be slaughtered in atonement for the sins of the nation and one to be a scapegoat and carry all the sins to the wilderness to the furthest place possible, “as far as the East is from the West”. One goat did the actual job of atoning for the sins and the other one is connected with  the collective consciousness of sin. After the atonement takes place and the sins are removed, we also have to forget them, forgive ourselves and start afresh.
"Then Aaron shall offer the goat on which the lot for the LORD fell, and make it a sin offering. "But the goat on which the lot for the scapegoat fell shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make atonement upon it, to send it into the wilderness as the scapegoat. "Then Aaron shall offer the bull of the sin offering which is for himself and make atonement for himself and for his household, and he shall slaughter the bull of the sin offering which is for himself.“ Leviticus 16:9-11
The Word of Elohim tells us that once we are forgiven by Him, he cannot remember our sins anymore. He removes t them from us as far as the East is from the West.

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”  Psalms 103:12

This particular promise is found in Psalms 103. This is a Psalm that admonishes us not to forget His benefits; the first benefit being forgiveness of sins.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.   Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities,” Psalms 103:1-3a

Followed by health, prosperity, favor, renewal of youth and long life

“Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit,  Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.” Psalms 103:3b-5

The awesome provision of Yah’s Day of Atonement comes from His great Mercy and Love towards us. Its purpose is to take us out of the vicious circle of sin, harmful habits, rebellion, unbelief, hopelessness, depression and destruction into the fullness of His Blessing. He wants us BLESSED.Period! That is His Highest Will and there is none other. He admonishes us not to forget this important fact, not to forget His BENEFITS, in Hebrew GMULAV or Compensations and Rewards! He shows us through King David how to do it by commanding our soul to bless, praise and thank YHVH and commanding our soul not to forget His Compensation Plan to those who love Him enough to do His will.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits;”  Psalms 103:1-2

When we remember His goodness and we bless Him for it, then we can truly come to repentance, Teshuva or Returning. It is His goodness, His Awesome Love, His Compensation Plan that leads us to His arms. Before Israel can turn back to our Abba we must remember that He is good and that His Highest desire for us is His FULL Blessing! Before anyone can truly turn all the way and serve Him, they must see His goodness. In Psalms 67 what causes the Fear of YHVH to impact the nations is His Blessing over Israel.

God blesses us, that all the ends of the earth may fear Him”. Psalms 67:7

Our mandate this year is to manifest the Blessing of Abraham in its fullness so that many will fear Him and learn His ways.

“God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us-- Selah. That Your way may be known on the earth, Your salvation among all nations.”  Psalms 67:1,2

There is no physical Temple in Jerusalem nowadays and no goats are being sacrificed on the altar anymore but there is a Spiritual Sanctuary not made by the hands of man, made of Living Stones such as You and I. And there is an Atonement Sacrifice, the only one that will suffice forever! The One that paid for the sum total of all our sins, self destructions and iniquities and through Him and ONLY through Him we, Jew and Gentile can enter into the FULL Blessing of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities;  The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed”.  Isaiah 53:4,5

He took all our sins, all our griefs, all our sorrows and paid the price for our WELLBEING in Hebrew “Musar Shlomenu”.   The word Shalom that means,

Entire, complete, nothing broken, nothing lacking, nothing missing
Yeshua paid the price, He is the Yom Hakippurim Goat. Those who believe and follow Him have no other choice but to answer the Call to manifest in the natural the Blessing that He paid the price to get, the Blessing of Abraham for us Jews and for the Gentiles that believe in the same Jewish Messiah and in the same New Covenant made with Israel and with Judah.

“Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,”  Jeremiah 31:31

Our Yeshua has provided salvation to us in every respect: From sin, from physical sickness, from mental sickness, from poverty.

For you know the grace of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.”  2 Corinthians 8:9

This Shabbat Year is the Year of the Open Door to possess all our inheritance in the Blessing!

Bless The Lord all my soul and all that is within me bless His Holy name, bless YHVH all my soul and forger not all His benefits, His rewards, His Compensation Plan.

“And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing;”  Genesis 12:2

As all of Israel is in the Synagogues and fasting this coming Shabbat; please pray earnestly for Israel to see the Goodness of Adonai that will lead us to repentance and to salvation in Messiah Y’shua!
