SAVE

THE NEGEV PROJECT

The scorched land will become a pool and the thirsty ground springs of water; In the haunt of jackals, its resting place, grass becomes reeds and rushes.  A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness the unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and fools will not wander on it.” Isaiah 35:7-8

Shabbat shalom dearly beloved!

For quite a while I have been burdened by the URGENT NEED to settle the Negev, the Desert, the South of Israel. The Negev comprises 65% of the modern State of Israel. Statistics say that if within 15 years if we do not settle the Negev with Jews, it will become predominantly Moslem, and thus we will loose it and with it 65% of the present land! Recently the Kad-Esh MAP team took a purposeful trip in order to tour and recognize the Negev. We were astonished by what we found and understood the URGENCY of saving the Negev from Islam!

The FIRST city established by Abraham in the Promised Land was the city of Beer Sheva.  The capital city of the Negev today.

“He said, "You shall take these seven ewe lambs from my hand so that it may be a witness to me, that I dug this well." Therefore he called that place Beersheba, because there the two of them took an oath. So they made a covenant at Beersheba; and Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, arose and returned to the land of the Philistines.” Genesis 21:30-32

One of the most alarming things that we saw was the spread of Bedouines all over the Negev at a very speedy rate. The Bedouines are Arab nomads that for the most part live in tents or temporary dwellings. Until recently the Bedouines where mostly non religious Moslems.  They practiced their own “desert Islam” but had no mosques and no ideology. Nowadays, the Bedouines in the Negev have built big mosques and are becoming increasingly radical in their Islam. That poses an existential threat to Israel and to the Israelis in the Negev. They are purposeful in taking over land and they do it by bringing more and more of their people from other areas so that they have PRESENCE. They take land by PRESENCE not by true RIGHTS and the government of Israel does NOTHING to stop it because it fears a Bedouin appraisal, an intifada.

There is MUCH sacrifice involved in settling the Negev. Let me tell you the story of the first Kibbutz that was established since 1943, prior to the official declaration of the State of Israel. This is the story of Kibbutz REVIVIM. Revivim means Reviving Rain Showers

In 1943, three young Jewish men in their 20’s decided to lay down their lives to possess the Negev as part of the Land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. There were a few Bedouines living there but there were no Jewish settlements and no agriculture. The place was hot, and hotter with a terrible lack of water. In order to get permission from the British that were ruling in the then called Palestine, they established an Experimental Station to experiment with agriculture under these impossible weather conditions! By the year 1947 when the United Nations was deciding on how to divide Israel between the Arabs and the Jews, a delegation came to the Negev. At that time Revivim had become an “experimental station” of 30 young Jewish people men and women, couples and singles that were laying down their lives to conquer the Desert promised to Israel! When the UN delegation arrived an out of this world sight, a true “mirage” unfolded before them, they saw young Jews working in a BLOOMING FIELD of GLADIOLES. The radiance of these gorgeous flowers in the midst of the endless desert moved the UN delegation so much that they decided to INCLUDE the Negev in the emerging Jewish State. They said that “If the Jews are able to cause flowers to bloom in this terrible desert they surely deserve to HAVE IT!”

The Sacrficial Stand of the Revivim People won us the Negev! Today Revivim is an established Kibbutz and out of it all the other Kibbutsim, (Community Farms,) developed in the Negev. Jewish Presence was established by 3 and then 30 sacrificial young Jews. Today over 60 years later the Jewish Negev produces some amazing agriculture that grows in brackish water as there is almost no sweet water available! The sweetest CHERRY TOMATOES that I have ever tasted are the ones grown in that salty water in the Negev. We have definitely managed to make portions of the Negev bloom as the prophecy in Isaiah 35 promises.

“The wilderness and the desert will be glad, and the Arabah will rejoice and blossom; Like the crocus it will blossom profusely and rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy the glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon they will see the glory of Yahveh, the majesty of our Elohim.” Isaiah 35:1-2

All of chapter 35 of Isaiah promises a tremendous REVIVAL to the Negev! Is it a mistake that the FIRST Kibbutz that paid the price for its blooming was called REVIVIM, Revival Rain showers? But today Kibbutz Revivim and its members are very discouraged. Overnight 5000 Bedouines have moved around them and they are trapped as an island in the midst of increasingly belligerent Moslems that steal their possessions and are trying to wear them down.  The government of Israel has been doing nothing to help for the fear of an apprisal. When we visited Revivim we decided to help and we appeal to all of you to help us help them.

Mr. Oded from Kibbutz Revivim is trying to establish an interactive Museum in Revivim as a memorial to the sacrifice and to the courageous stand of its young founders. Most of those “young founders” passed on and died this past year and with them the inspiring memories and the sacrificial values that caused them to get us 65% of the Land of Israel! Oded does not live in the Kibbutz, but is an outsider Israeli in his fifties, that is trying to RESCUE the heritage by giving a VISION to the next generation of Israelis. As we all know without a vision people perish and indeed Israel has been perishing without the VISION our founding fathers had!

Before it is too late we want to contribute in the establishing of this memorial in the Negev, as well as bring groups of Messianic Jews, Christian believers to pray, encourage and give towards the establishing of a Jewish Negev! The project of the Kibbutz Revivim interactive museum costs $300,000 USD ONLY! Oded said that the Kibbutz does not have that kind of money, and for the most part people are pretty discouraged and feel trapped in the midst of the growing Moslem population. He said:

“Kibbutz Revivim needs to be ADOPTED by someone”.

I immediately saw the God given opportunity to ADOPT this courageous Israeli Kibbutz and begin to impact the Negev with TRUE REVIVAL!

I believe that Kad-Esh MAP friends and disciples of the MAP Revolution can raise this small amount of money and affect the MAP of Israel forever. While I am grateful for all offerings, because this is an urgent need and there must be a REVERSAL of the Negev threat of Islam, I am appealing to those that CAN give a substantial amount of money to get this project on the GO ASAP! We must impact these sacrificial people with Yah’s Goodness surprisingly fast. After all they have been laying down their lives for over 60 years now!

If more than $300,000 USD come in for this project we will consider using the remainder of the money to buy land and BUILD a House of Prayer for All nations in the Negev!

The First Prime Minister of Israel, Mr. David Ben Gurion said that anyone, including non Jews, that wanted to help us settle the Negev joining as one with the Cause of Israel and the restored Jewish State, was WELCOME to come and help and even SETTLE!

And the exiles of this host of the sons of Israel, who are among the Canaanites as far as Zarephath, and the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will possess the cities of the Negev.”  Obadiah 20

In Obadiah 20 it says that the Negev will be settled with Sepharadic Jews. Sepharad is the Hebrew name for Spain. Already many Spanish Jewish Conversos  are making their way back to the bosom of Israel and are beginning to be settled in the Negev. I believe that in the days to come you will hear more and more about this End Time Exodus that will bring REVIVAL to all of Israel. Many years ago there was a prophecy saying : “The Revival of Israel will come through the Spanish”. I am a Spanish Jew and YAH has burdened me with the IMPORTANCE of the Spanish Jews making Alyah to the Negev!

But FIRST THINGS FIRST. We must REVIVE the VISION that the young men and women of Revivim laid their lives for. As we do that many more will follow in their footsteps and on the way they will also find the Fullness of the God of the Covenant.

If you have the means to HELP raise these $300,000 USD or contribute to it please let us know ASAP and let us MARK History in Israel TOGETHER. Email us at karenmap@netvision.net.il or fax us in Israel at +972-2-5333534 or phone us at +972-52-3781553

“Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, "Take courage, fear not behold, your Elohim will come with vengeance; The recompense of Elohim will come, but He will save you." Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy for waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the Arabah.” Isaiah 35:3-6
