LOVING THE TRUTH

Preparation for Passover

Purge (clean out) the old leaven that you may be fresh (new) dough, still uncontaminated [as you are], for Messiah, our Passover [Lamb], has been sacrificed. Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with leaven of vice and malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened [bread] of purity (nobility, honor) and sincerity and [unadulterated] truth.) 1 Corinthians 5:7,8 AV

Shabbat shalom dearly beloved:

This week is the preparation week for Pesach and thus our need to purge all LEAVEN. Leaven is likened unto SIN (breaking Yah’s Commandments) and Hypocrisy.

In this present day world, loving the truth is very unpopular and even in the Church! It is easier, yes even MUCH easier to compromise truth than to love the truth. For many Christians, it seems like there is really no connection between TRUTH and LOVE. Because the Gospel has been cheapened, to a false grace gospel,l a false assumption has crept in that says that TRUTH is not costly. In fact LOVE has been cheapened also to the place of it being “lenient” and accepting lies in order to accommodate “love”. However LOVE, GRACE and TRUTH go together hand in hand! Wherever you find TRUE LOVE you will find TRUTH, because YAHVEH is LOVE, and Y’SHUA is the TRUTH and they are ONE!

In this perverted society, “covering up” and “lying” is not only acceptable, but it has become even mandatory. In many churches pastors are so “loving” that they never confront sin! In many cases the excuse is: “I will let the Holy Spirit do it”, and when the Holy Spirit does not “do it”, they say: It must not be the TIMING, or God’s Will and they release themselves of the responsibility of speaking the Truth in Love and of exhorting as Paul admonished Timothy:

I CHARGE [you] in the presence of God and of Messiah Y’shua, Who is to judge the living and the dead, and by (in the light of) His coming and His kingdom: Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching. For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold, And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions. 2 Timothy 4:2-4 AV

Most Christians today are totally LUKEWARM because their worldly lifestyle has never been confronted by truth loving pastors! Those form part of most worship teams, they dress worldly in seductive manners, they love a god of their own imaginations, a nice grand daddy that allows anything to “go”; A great “puppy god” that you can pet for he is so full of “grace. The “job” of the Five Fold Ministers of God is to SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE THAT WE MAY GROW. I love how The Message Bible puts it:

He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher to train the Messiah's followers in skilled servant work, working within the Messiah's body, the church, until we're all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God's Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like the Messiah. No prolonged infancies among us, please. We'll not tolerate babes in the woods, small children who are an easy mark for impostors. God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love—like Messiah in everything. We take our lead from the Messiah, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love. Ephesians 4:11-16

The most loving thing that I can do is to tell you all the TRUTH. YAH is HOLY and He is a JEALOUS GOD. He does not excuse SIN or compromise of any kind. He is NOT LENIENT towards unrighteousness. He is FORGIVING and MERCIFUL when we REPENT but without REPENTANCE, (a radical turning away from sin and iniquity) there is NO HOPE. He is absolutely TRUE to His Word. He LOVES us and He HATES sin, period, full stop!

The following are passages in the Scriptures that you may have never heard in your Church. Let me introduce the TRUTH to you because I LOVE you!

For Yahveh corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes. Hebrews 12:10

The correction of our Heavenly ABBA is because He LOVES US, (not because He wants to judge us and destroy u,s as many have interpreted wrongly!) In fact without Him correcting and even scourging us (ouch!) we are not His real children.

Now if you are exempt from correction and left without discipline in which all [of God's children] share, then you are illegitimate offspring and not true sons [at all]. Hebrews 12:6

If we give up and turn our backs on all we've learned, all we've been given, all the truth we now know, we repudiate Messiah's sacrifice and are left on our own to face the Judgment—and a mighty fierce judgment it will be! If the penalty for breaking the law of Moses is physical death, what do you think will happen if you turn on God's Son, spit on the sacrifice that made you whole, and insult this most gracious Spirit? This is no light matter. God has warned us that he'll hold us to account and make us pay. He was quite explicit: "Vengeance is mine, and I won't overlook a thing" and "God will judge his people." Nobody's getting by with anything, believe me. Hebrews 10:26-31 The Message

Most of the people in the Church have had a wrong understanding of LAW and GRACE. For the most part, ringing in their ears are phrases such: “We are not UNDER the Law”, “We are saved by GRACE not by works” erc…Of course I TOTALLY AGREE with these however they are INTERPRETED WRONGLY. We are not UNDER the Law but we are IN THE LAW, and He is in US. That is the true New Covenant:

Behold, the days are coming, says Yahveh, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was their Husband, says Yahveh. But this is the Yahveh, I will put My law within them, and on their hearts will I write it; and I will be their God, and they will be My people. Jeremiah 31:31-33

We are totally saved by Grace through Faith and that not of works that no man should boast, but FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD! In fact continuing in sin is a sign of HATE not of LOVE,

So, my dear children, don't let anyone divert you from the truth. It's the person who acts right who is right, just as we see it lived out in our righteous Messiah. Those who make a practice of sin are straight from the Devil, the pioneer in the practice of sin. The Son of God entered the scene to abolish the Devil's ways. People conceived and brought into life by God don't make a practice of sin. How could they? God's seed is deep within them, making them who they are. It's not in the nature of the God-begotten to practice and parade sin. Here's how you tell the difference between God's children and the Devil's children: The one who won't practice righteous ways isn't from God, nor is the one who won't love brother or sister. A simple test. For this is the original message we heard: We should love each other. 1 John 3:7-11

When we talk about LOVE we need to remember that the most selfish treason act in the history of the world happened when Adam ,(Woman and Man) chose to break Elohim’s Commandment because of a divided heart. They had to divide their heart between their love to The Creator and their love for themselves. They bit into the snake’s lies because of selfishness.

The serpent told the Woman, "You won't die. God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you'll see what's really going on. You'll be just like God, knowing everything, ranging all the way from good to evil." When the Woman saw that the tree looked like good eating and realized what she would get out of it—she'd know everything!—she took and ate the fruit and then gave some to her husband, and he ate. Genesis 3:4-6

Any time that we break Elohim’s Commandments, it is because of selfishness, in other words we get something that we covet more than Him. We break His “Love Commandments’ for the purpose of selfish gain in one way or another. It is very important that we understand that violating Elohim’s words to us is an act of selfishness and lack of love. Many times I have been tempted to quit when things go hard, but if I quit, and I violate Elohim’s Commandment to me to be a preacher and a trainer in His Body, then I would be hurting many people. The thought of hurting my Father and His Children horrifies me enough to keep me going in the hardest times! When you truly love Yah, and His People, you can’t quit. You can’t sin because LOVE COMPELLS YOU TO WALK HOLY AND OBEDIENT!

The highest Act of Love is to walk Holy and obedient to The Father’s Call. In order to do that we need to LOVE TRUTH, because when we know the truth then we become FREE TO LOVE!

And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free. John 8:32

The only true freedom that we have is the FREEDOM to LOVE!; to love Yahveh, to love each other and to love ourselves. That freedom only manifests in its fullness when we love the truth, and we know the TRUTH. We should never be afraid of the truth, but rather love it, love HIM! Many people say that TRUTH HURTS, but it is not TRUE. Truth does not hurt, what hurts is the LIE that truth exposes! It is the same when we heal a wound. If you put alcohol on an infected wound, it is not the alcohol that hurts but rather the INFECTION as it is touched by the disinfecting and healing power of the alcohol! In the same way TRUTH disinfects us from the infection of the lies that we have believed, and it heals us from the sin. TRUTH IS MARVELLOUS! Of course Y’shua is The Truth! (John 14:6)

Many times I see people afraid of strong preaching that exposes lies, both personal and doctrinal. They don’t want to have anything shaken in their lives, and they accommodate the INFECTION of lies and put it under a band aid. The problem is that both doctrinal lies (such as Replacement Theology) and personal lies that we have believed; are like a CANCER. If they are not radically treated they bring forth DEATH. It is better to stand the “sting” than to die! That is the reason why Y’shua spoke the following strong and revealing words:

But I say to you that everyone who so much as looks at a woman with evil desire for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye serves as a trap to ensnare you or is an occasion for you to stumble and sin, pluck it out and throw it away. It is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be cast into hell (Gehenna). And if your right hand serves as a trap to ensnare you or is an occasion for you to stumble and sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better that you lose one of your members than that your entire body should be cast into hell (Gehenna). Matthew 5:28-30 AV

In the Book of Revelation Y’shua gave a vision to His Jewish Apostle Yochanan-John. Those words are extremely important to us today because He warned the different congregations. These warnings serve us today in order to correct our ways daily as we prepare for His imminent return:

AND TO the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Sardis write: These are the words of Him Who has the seven Spirits of God.the sevenfold Holy Spirit] and the seven stars: I know your record and what you are doing; you are supposed to be alive, but [in reality] you are dead. Rouse yourselves and keep awake, and strengthen and invigorate what remains and is on the point of dying; for I have not found a thing that you have done [any work of yours] meeting the requirements of My God or perfect in His sight. So call to mind the lessons you received and heard; continually lay them to heart and obey them, and repent. In case you will not rouse yourselves and keep awake and watch, I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not know or suspect at what hour I will come. Yet you still have a few [persons'] names in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes, and they shall walk with Me in white, because they are worthy and deserving. Thus shall he who conquers (is victorious) be clad in white garments (Holiness!), and I will not erase or blot out his name from the Book of Life; I will acknowledge him [as Mine] and I will confess his name openly before My Father and before His angels. He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the [Holy] Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). Revelation 3:1-6 AV

A lukewarm walk, continuing in sin and refusing to mend our ways, thinking that we live by grace alone, so we don’t have to be concerned about holiness and obedience, can lead us to a very dangerous place!

One of the most intimate and loving Scriptures that I have ever read is in the Book of Revelation:

And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the trusty and faithful and true Witness, the Origin and Beginning and Author of God's creation. I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth! For you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. Therefore I counsel you to purchase from Me gold refined and tested by fire, that you may be [truly] wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see. Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude]. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me. He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne. He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the [Holy] Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). Revelation 3:14-22 AV

May you sit and dine with Y’shua this coming Pessach/Passover and experience in this coming Holy Season the FREEDOM of TRUE LOVE!
