THE LOVE OF RUTH

A Jerusalem Day and Mother’s Day Message

Shabbat shalom dearly beloved:

This year Sunday the 13^th of May was Mother’s Day. It happened to converge with the start of the week long Historic Celebrations of JERUSALEM DAY for the 40^th Anniversary of the Unification of Jerusalem in 1967 after the miraculous victory of the Six Day War.

While we have been celebrating Motherhood in general, we need to remember to celebrate Jerusalem our Mother.

“If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget her skill. May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy.” Psalms 137:5-6

The enemy has done everything in his power to separate both the Jews from their Mother Land and the Christian Gentiles from the Jewish Roots of the Faith, the Jewish People and Jerusalem. Now it is time to push him back all the way as he is trying his last attempts to divide the Holy City and eventually make it completely Moslem.

Chief Rabbinate and Christian Zionists

He is also trying his best to cause the Christian lovers of Israel to feel offended and turn their backs on Israel. The chief Rabbinate has risen up to oppose the Christian Knesset Caucus for Women; Namely accusing the Christians of having a hidden agenda of converting the Jews and not being pure in their motives for helping Israel. The Chief Rabbinate went as far as to ban the teachings on the Jewish Roots of Christianity in attempts to erase Y’shua’s Jewishness!

Rabbi Deri explained to Arutz-7, "We note of late the terrible phenomenon of Messianic Jews wreaking havoc and destruction in Israel by trying to bring Jesus as Messiah into Israel. With pleasantness and kindness, they bring Torah, fear of G-d and even Torah commandments - but all with one underlying theme: that Jesus is Messiah. This joins with the phenomenon of millions of Evangelical Christians; Bibi Netanyahu said about them, 'They are not just friends of Israel, they are Israel!' They want to help and support us, but they have the same goals as the Messianics. They make tremendous efforts and support us all over, and are even more right-wing than we are in some ways, and they help us with Bush, etc. - this is all true, but in the end, they have one goal, and that is Jesus. We are not on the level of early great Rabbis who were able to take the good and spit out the bad..."

MK Rabbi Benny Elon (National Union) responded with sorrow to the decision. He said that he and others like him make sure to work only with Christians who do not have missionary intentions. "We work closely with the Yad L'Achim anti-missionary organization," MK Elon told Arutz-7, "though now a competing organization - Lev L'Achim - has arisen and seems to have 'stricter' standards... It's hard for me to understand: What can be wrong about forging friendships with those who want to help us and care about us?"

I do not ever remember such a direct affront on Christian Zionists from the Israeli Rabbinical authorities. This marks a new reality in Zionist Christian-Israeli relationships. It is important to realize that our love for Israel cannot hide the fact that we all, Messianic and Evangelical believers have one goal in mind that Israel be RESTORED to the LAND and also SAVED. There is a difference however between this basic understanding and between “pushing Jesus/Yeshua by force”. I know for a fact that though every Christian Zionist would like to see Israel saved, they have been helping Israel just like Ruth, simply because of the Love of God and not with a “hidden agenda”. They have been doing it as an act of RESTITUTION and SOLIDARITY and that is LOVE, TRUE LOVE! But they have forgotten one small and most important issue and that is - The Jewish Messianic Body of Y’shua in the Land. The Word of God says to do good FIRST to those of the household of faith.

”So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.” Galatians 6:10

So in order to Bless Israel properly, Elohim’s order is the Messianic Jew FIRST. I believe that the enemy has shot himself in the foot for two reasons:

1. This is an opportunity for the Christian Zionists to connect with the Messianic Body in Israel BEFORE they connect and bless the government. Until now most of the financial support for Israel was going to the government and to different Rabbis. Finally the order will be set aright and the CONNECTION will be with the believing Jews FIRST. This will bear a lot of fruit!

2. This is a great opportunity to show “Naomi” (Israel) that Christian Zionists will not forsake her because of her rejection. This is the opportunity to become a true RUTH. Ruth’s Love broke all Jewish opposition from Naomi and from the people of Bethlehem!

This also shows that the enemy is scared to death by the MAP Revolution which is restoring the Church world -wide to its Jewish Roots and to the Love of Israel. It takes The MAP Revolution Message for all Christian Zionists to go deeper, wider and higher. We need the Glory of Yah that is released when the Council of Nicea is rejected. The Glory, the Love, the Passion and the Power! Politics alone won’t help. The devil is no respecter of persons; he will use whoever is available for his hideous purposes, Jew, Gentile or Arab. We must all rally against him, the time is late and he CANNOT succeed! A LOVE LIKE RUTH IS NEEDED!

In Ruth 1:9-19 begins the Journey that changed history.

“May Yahveh grant that you may find rest, each in the house of her husband." Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their voices and wept. And they said to her, "No, but we will surely return with you to your people." But Naomi said, "Return, my daughters. Why should you go with me? Have I yet sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands? "Return, my daughters! Go, for I am too old to have a husband. If I said I have hope, if I should even have a husband tonight and also bear sons, would you therefore wait until they were grown? Would you therefore refrain from marrying? No, my daughters; for it is harder for me than for you, for the hand of Yahveh has gone forth against me." And they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her. Then she said, "Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and her gods; return after your sister-in-law." Ruth 1:9-15

Basically Naomi rejected all help from her daughters in law. She was bitter and wanted no burdens. She thought that they were coming with her for the wrong reasons; to get something from her and especially more Jewish husbands. But she misread Ruth! She was not going with Naomi out of any selfish interest (though noble as it may be!). She was coming with her because she wanted to join the God of her dead husband; she wanted to join with his Commandments and with his people. She was under compulsion; she could not turn back to her own gods (Replacement Theology! And Babylonian Christianity) she had to go forward! She truly loved this bitter mother in law of hers that had chosen to be called “Mara” (bitter) rather than “Naomi” (pleasant). She understood her bitterness, she knew where she was coming from and the kind of LOSS she had suffered (Spanish Inquisition, Crusades, Nazi Shoa-Holocaust, Road Maps). Ruth harbored NO OFFENCE but rather the rejection of Naomi caused her to cling all the more, it actually solidified her commitment.

“But Ruth said, "Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your Elohim, my Elohim. "Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may Yahveh do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me." When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more to her.” Ruth 1:16-18

Ruth bound herself with the most serious binding oath that exists. She was determined, she was committed and NOTHING was going to stop her loving and following this stubborn Jewish Woman- NOTHING! Is it therefore a surprise that Yahveh blessed Ruth so much that she married the Kinsman Redeemer, the Richest and most influential man in town? Is it a wonder that Ruth is given the utmost privilege of being one of the only three women (all gentiles!) mentioned in the Royal Blood line of King David and Messiah? No, of course is not a wonder because Yah promised that -in Genesis 12:3 and He ALWAYS keeps His promises. He owes no one!

When Ruth insisted, Naomi said no more. In the same way as true Grafted In believers insist in loving Israel in spite of her rejection, Israel will say no more! And then the spirit of grace and supplication will fall upon the very ones that are “saying”, the religious Jews will be visited with Revival. They will see Y’shua! In fact the late Kabbalistic Rabbi most venerated by all, Rabbi Kadouri had a visitation of Messiah and he left a letter with His name YEHOSHUA to his disciples (Which is another way of saying Yeshua). The letter was opened after his burial and many of his followers have been astounded ever since! They are trying to hide the fact, but a copy of his letter was published in the movement’s web site before it was removed because of fear. Things are happening in Israel. The man in the street is VERY OPEN to Messiah!

"I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. "In that day there will be great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the plain of Megiddo.” Zechariah 12:10-11

May your response to the Chief Rabbi’s and the Rabbi’s banning of Christian Zionism and the Jewish Roots Movement be like Ruth’s.
