YOM YERUSHALAYIM-JERUSALEM DAY 28th of Iyar-16th of May 2007
Celebrating 40 Years Since The Six Day War And The Liberation Of The Temple Mount
"It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.” Zechariah 12:3
Shalom and blessed Jerusalem Day/Yom Yerushalayim to all our friends:
After the miraculous Six Day War in June of 1967, the Knesset (Israeli Parliament), passed a law that every 28th of Iyar (different every year in the Gregorian Calendar) Israel will be officially celebrating “Jerusalem Day”. While most of the world is “playing politics” doing their best to dismiss Jerusalem as the Eternal Capital of Israel, the Almighty has been busy making History! Israel is back in the Land after 2000 years of exile and Jerusalem is again and forever the Capital of Israel! King Messiah is preparing to RETURN and is making His Holy City ready in order to sit on His Throne of Glory on earth and rule the world with a Rod of Iron! It really does not matter how many politicians think they know better and how many opinionated humanists oppose, His Plan A is on the go! Those that love Him are getting seriously excited about the future of Yerushalayim and the devil is utterly scared for his time is very short! YESHUA the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is calling all nations to honor Him and His People Israel and to establish their embassies in Jerusalem!
Due to the young age of this holiday, there is still not much which makes it unique in terms of customs and traditions. It is gradually becoming a "pilgrimage" day, when thousands of Israelis travel (some hike!) to Jerusalem to demonstrate solidarity with the city. This show of solidarity is of special importance to the state of Israel, since the international community has never approved the "reunification" of the city under Israeli sovereignty, and many countries have not recognized Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish State (The United Nations "partition plan" of November 1947 assigned a status of "International City" to Jerusalem). Nations will fall and rise according to how they honor Israel and especially our capital and Kingdom of God headquarters-Jerusalem.
"But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain." Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth. Worship Yahveh with reverence and rejoice with trembling. Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, for His wrath may soon be kindled.” Psalms 2:6,10-12
A Fatal Mistake
In June of 1967 the Israeli flag flew over the Dome of the Rock in the Temple Mount. Israel historically became totally sovereign over the whole City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount was in our hands for the first time in 2000 years! This was a miracle and a fulfillment of prophecy! The whole world should have been on their knees on that day! This was sign that The King is about to come back and He is sanctifying His Holy Hill of Zion and His Holy People Israel for Himself! However the enemy rose up to threaten and Israel lead by legendary minister of Defense Moshe Dayan, gave in and relinquished the Temple Mount. Though on paper Israel is sovereign over the most important piece of real estate in the world, de facto the Moslems are ruling over there and are the only ones allowed to worship. And worship they do with cries of “Ala Uakbar” (Ala is the greatest) and with murderous shouts of “Itbach el Yahud” (annihilate the Jews). Since then Israel has been partially and even seriously defeated war after war and especially the war with the Palestinians. Now 40 years have passed and it is time for a change of attitude and a change of leadership style!
Giving in to the enemy has never been Yah’s style of leadership. He always said to completely uproot the enemy! When King Saul failed to obey the command of totally annihilating the Amalekites Yahveh removed him and his descendants forever from being king (I Samuel 15). But David he upheld for King David knew how to deal with the enemies of Israel and how to cry out for Justice and Judgment!
We need to realize that the Will of the Father is to uproot the enemies of Israel and to establish His Kingdom in Jerusalem for 1000 years! This is a Covenant Issue and Covenant Justice needs to be executed for that matter! This is the reason why He will totally annihilate all nations for the cause of Zion!
“For Yahveh’s indignation is against all the nations, and His wrath against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to slaughter. For Yahveh has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion. For Yahveh has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion”. Isaiah 34:2,8
We would very well in realigning our Spiritual and Political position to God’s Word concerning Israel and Jerusalem, lest we find ourselves “under the gun” and in the Valley of Yehoshapaht (Judgment) as written in Joel 3. We should be warning all our fellowmen and especially those that call themselves Christians as the Day of Vengeance is fastly approaching and in fact it is already at the Door!
"For behold, in those days and at that time when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land.” Joel 3:1,2
The government of Israel has been courting the enemy for too long to the point that unless something serious is done, we could lose Jerusalem and all of Israel and take “swimming lessons!”
Our prayers for Israel should be in line with His Word and His Word does not play around with Israel’s enemies. We need to remember that Yahveh is not a nice Christian! He is the God of the Universe and He will not be denied NOR DELAYED any longer!
“O Elohim, do not remain quiet; Do not be silent and, O Elohim, do not be still. For behold, Your enemies make an uproar, and those who hate You have exalted themselves. They make shrewd plans against Your people, and conspire together against Your treasured ones. They have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more." For they have conspired together with one mind; against You they make a covenant.” Psalms 83:1-5
When the enemies of Israel gather against Israel it is against the God of Israel that they are fighting! The prayers of David are not very “elegant”
For Elohim to fight for Israel it is a very merciful act to the nations! That is their only chance to get the Fear of God and know Yahveh as Sovereign!
The time for “nice prayers” has ended. All of the Army of Yahveh Zevaot (The Lord of the Armies) is called in for duty to pray Covenant Justice prayers until all of Israel is restored and the Holy Temple stands again on Temple Mount ready to house the Returning King of Kings.
“At that time they will call Jerusalem 'The Throne of Yahveh' and all the nations will be gathered to it, to Jerusalem, for the name of Yahveh; nor will they walk anymore after the stubbornness of their evil heart.” Jeremiah 3:17
“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent. And give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” Isaiah 62:1,7

Jerusalem Day - A Historical Introduction
Jerusalem was divided during the War of Independence and nineteen years later was reunited as a result of the 6-Day War. The battle of Jerusalem began on the morning of June 5, 1967 when the Jordanians opened fire along the entire cease-fire line. By that afternoon the Jordanians occupied the Governor's Palace.
The Central Command of the Israeli Army, under the command of General Uzi Narkiss, moved the "Har'el" brigade to the Jerusalem front. This force tore through the enemy positions of "Har Adar" and "Abdul Aziz" and conquered "Nebi Samuel".
By the morning of June 6 this force reached the Jerusalem-Rammalah road and stormed "Tel-El" and "Givat HaMivtar". In addition a paratroop brigade was moved up. Its instructions were to open the way to Mount Scopus and the Rockefeller Museum in order to position themselves to break through to the "Old City" of Jerusalem on very short notice.
This force cut through the frontline of the town and occupied the Police Academy, Ammunition Hill, Mandelbaum Gate, the American quarter and "Wadi Jos". The way to Mount Scopus was now cleared and the northeast section of Jerusalem was liberated.
On June 7th the General Staff issued the order to liberate the "Old City". The Central Command activated the paratroop brigade that had conquered the Mount of Olives and the Mount Scopus ridge. These troops broke through to the "Old City" by way of the "Lions' Gate" and hoisted the Israeli flag over the "Western Wall" (the last surviving remnant of the Second Temple).
On May 12 1968 the Government, decided to make the 28th of Iyar the symbolic holiday, Jerusalem Day , a day that symbolizes the continued historical connection of the Jewish People to Jerusalem. Thirty years later, this holiday became anchored in the law: On March 23 1998 the Knesset passed the second and third readings of the "Jerusalem Day Law", which determined that the date that Jerusalem was liberated during the 6-Day War was now a national holiday.
After the 6-Day War the city and its environs underwent an intensive and unprecedented process of restoration and development. Institutions were built, entire new neighborhoods were established and an extensive system of roads and transportation infrastructure was constructed.
Ten new neighborhoods were built on 21,000 dunams. This development enabled a significant increase in Jerusalem's population and the absorption of considerable numbers of new immigrants. Today, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics, Jerusalem's population stands at about 681,000 in an area of 126 square kilometers.
Jerusalem,
the capital of Israel, has become a large and expansive city. It
stands as an inspiration not only to residents of Israel and the
Jewish People but also to the entire world. Jerusalem attracts
tourists from around the world who come to see her beauty, to imbibe
of her past and make pilgrimage to the holy sites, which serve as a
place for prayer and a connecting point for the members of all three
major religions.
'So
many peoples and mighty nations will come to seek Yahveh of hosts in
Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of Yahveh.' "Thus says Yahveh of
hosts, 'In those days ten men from all the nations will grasp the
garment of a Jew, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard
that Elohim is with you."
