HANUKKA EDITION of CLEANSING THE MISHKAN LOVING YAHVEH WITH ALL YOUR HEART Shabbat shalom dearly beloved: The Feast of Hanukkah is about the cleansing and the rededication of the Mishkan (Temple) of Yahveh that had been defiled by aliens (Greeks). As we are His Mishkan on earth, this is the time to cleanse and rededicate our lives completely! As we do this we will see the Miracles of Yahveh! You shall love Yahveh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5 I am writing to you from the ICCU of the Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem where Rabbi Baruch my husband is hospitalized at present. During the intervention this morning that took longer than normal it was discovered that 65% of his heart muscle was NOT receiving oxygen. The reason being that due to high cholesterol levels he had two arteries blocked that did not allow for the blood to flow and bring the oxygen to the right side of his heart. No doubt about it: Rabbi Baruch could have died two days ago when he had a heart attack! Life is but a vapor and it can end in a second! It is at this time that one does a mental inventory of one’s life. “Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” James 4:14-15 Rabbi Baruch says-“The day that I ran out the door to go to my police duty, I knew in my heart that eating a corn beef sandwich at 6.45 AM and running up hill to be on time was not the right thing to do. I was not surprised when an hour later I had chest pains, it felt like the sandwich had not gone down. All day as I was driving policemen and suspects around I had this pain in my chest. I tried prayer, hot and cold water but nothing seemed to alleviate the pain. So I took off work at noon instead of staying to have lunch with my peers of the Police Force. When I came home Jack suggested that I lay down as I looked terrible, but I told him “If I lay down now this will be the longest sleep I will ever take” After prayer and warfare prayer I felt that I had the victory and then I decided to lie down. In the evening we went to the doctor who according to the ECG said that I was ok but sent me to the hospital “just in case” since there were chest pains. At the hospital they ran more tests and came to the same conclusion and that I could go home shortly after they ran more tests. But when the doctor came back she was in shock and said: “I don’t know how to tell you this but I have bad news. Your blood shows 10 times the normal quantity of the enzyme Troponin which means that you have had a heart attack and you need to be hospitalized IMMEDIATELY! In the next day the quantity of Troponin went up to 2.3 (the normal is 0.1!) which means that I had a serious heart attack. I was immediately scheduled for cathetherization to check out further. While they were doing this uncomfortable medical procedure, they discovered that two of my arteries were blocked. They wanted to proceed to do a bypass operation right away! I declined and asked for the less invasive intervention of opening the arteries with the help of balloons and stints. They listened to me and proceeded to do the delicate intervention from which I am recovering just now…”
What is holding your heart captive right now? What is preventing you from loving, obeying and following Y’shua with all of you? Is it lust, selfishness, love of mammon, loving your life “your ministry” more than Him? Is it pain, grief, disappointment or depression? What is blocking the arteries of implicit, instant obedience? On the outside you may “look good”, you are a “good Christian” maybe an exemplary one but are you willing to follow Y’shua in absolute obedience and forsake ALL for Him? He was pretty clear when He said the following words, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:26
I believe that YAH has given American Christians tons of talents and gifts but these are being wasted right now under layers of performance, showmanship and compromise disguised as devotion. Rabbi Baruch is an American Jew that believes in Messiah and he has suffered all of his life from the “American Syndrome” of pretending that all is AOK however was never willing to look deeper or to let Y’shua’s doctors and nurses get the tubes into his spiritual arteries and heart. He wanted “the show” to go on but YAH said NO! This is My Mercy Act! And we did not even know that 2/3 of his heart was not receiving the OXYGEN. My friends how many of us are only giving YAH 1/3 of our hearts or ½ or even 2/3? Will you wait until you are on a death bed before He can claim you as His Own Possession and do WHATEVER HE WANTS with “your life”? How many religious excuses have you given of why you cannot or “should not” radically obey Him? I am not only talking about ministry here I am talking about ALL the affairs of “your life”. Believe me if you think that your life belongs to you just know that this is an illusion. We are YAH’S Possession and He purchased us for the highest price, the blood of His own Son and He wants ALL of His possession NOW! I don’t know about you but when I buy something and pay a good price for it I like to get ALL my goods! If I am not delivered the merchandise I am VERY UPSET! After all I paid for it! He bought us and when we withhold part of ourselves for whatever religious reasons we may find He is also VERY UPSET! Being merciful He waits and waits for us to turn but if we don’t, some “Mercy Acts” need to happen until He can claim ALL of “His Possession”, that is you and me! The problem is that He has been talking to me lately that His waiting is OVER! He wants ALL of us, ALL of His House, His MISHKAN and He wants it NOW! A lot more Mercy Acts are on the way… For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:20 STOP RIGHT NOW! What are you compromising? Where is your obedience partial? Who are you trying to please above Him? What are you afraid to lose? What are you lusting after? Who do you love more than YAH? What do you fear above THE FEAR OF YAHVEH HIMSELF? Is life centered on YOU? Remember that on the surface you will think that you are ok, but if you look DEEPER you may find some surprisingly dangerous facts. Please do not take a shortcut, do INVENTORY, take time and do it thoroughly.
“Well done my good and faithful servant” May the Fear of Yahveh impregnate all of our being in this 21 Century like in the 1st Century original Jewish Congregation of Believers in Messiah. “The Fear of Yahveh is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.” Psalms 111:10 May His awesome power and anointing rest on all those who heed this message!
